I am new to Kabbalah. Actually my husband has been studying Kabbalah but could really not explain it to me. I was always wandering why Kabbalah was so important to him that he gave most of the activities that he had enjoyed before and concentrated on Kabbalah. But either he could not explain it or I was a bad listener. Finally, he brought this book home. I am a very slow reader, I like to digest every page, every word. I could not believe that I finished the book in one night. I just could not stop reading it. I was finding the answers for the questions I did not know that I had. I never followed any religion because of my background and I could not say that the my sense of spirituality had gone outside of just enjoying classical music or appreciation of Picasso. This book changed that perception immediately. It opened a new world., or an old world with a new view of it. This book is great start for anyone who not only curious why their husbands gave up watching football on Sundays but anyone who wants to discover the spirtuality. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

This is a great introduction to authentic Kabbalah and is an expanded version of Kabbalah Revealed, also by Rav Laitman. Starting with the History of Kabbalah and highlights of some of the greatest teachers of Kabbalah, this book continues with an easy-to-understand explanation of the wisdom of Kabbalah and an interesting discussion about reality, and concludes with a section called Crisis and Correction. At the end of the book is a section on Frequently Asked Questions about Kabbalah which is also worth exploring. The writing is clear, conversational, and flows easily. Interspersed throughout the book are numerous quotes from renowned Kabbalists that further expound on the topic at hand. I found this a thoroughly enjoyable read and would recommend it to anyone exploring authentic Kabbalah. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Kabbalah for Beginners is a powerful small book based on the lectures of Dr. Michael Laitman.
It speaks of spiritual perspectives and roots of our behavior and nature's laws.
It took me thru all the stages needed to answer the most basic questions of why - why am I here - why now - like this? I found The Dark Before the Dawn (part 4 ch. 6) most fitting for our time. I bookmarked the section to read and read again as events unfold daily. It's that useful for me. The subjects covered in appendix 1 are so full of inspiration it could be a book in itself. The wisdom in Kabbalah for Beginners has presented all the information, background and solutions to enlighten and uplift the mind and spirit for anyone who reads it. I think this is an important book for anyone who is looking for a sound basis in Kabbalah.

I Also Recommend:
As the title implies, this is a perfect place to begin your exploration of authentic Kabbalah. The book quickly points out that anyone can study Kabbalah. It does not matter what your age, gender or religion might be. The study of Kabbalah is for anyone who has burning questions such as "What is the meaning of my life?" "What is the purpose of my existence?" If you have such questions, you are in the right place.
Although this book is a very quick read, it does present the essential ingredients of this path and provide you with a blue print for moving forward. It is a terrific introduction!

For anyone seeking meaning in their lives or anyone who feels that have yet to find a purpose to their existence I hope they are fortunate enough to find any book written by Michael Laitman. I have found that while they all speak of the same thing; they all have something new to offer the reader. The first part of this book speaks about the origin and history of Kabbalah which may peak the interest of any history buff or anyone interested in understanding what Kabbalah says about the creation of mankind. As with any book (and this one is less than 200 pages) the historical perspective feels incomplete, but it provides enough information to lead the reader on a quest of their own for further information.
I've found that few people know or have any working understanding of what Kabbalah is about and what they do know is not what Laitman or his organization, Bnei Baruch, teaches. The second part of this book is appropriately named "the gist." There is no mention of red strings and evil eyes as we've heard about in trendy magazines and on television. It does provide exactly what it suggests; a general description of what Kabbalah is all about. The rest of the book deals with "Reality" and "Correction" and also provides a section with common questions and answers. Any serious student of Kabbalah will tell you that further reading and study materials are necessary, but this is a good place to start.
On the first page, the second sentence says," The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us the reason why man exists, why he is born, why he lives, what the purpose of his life is, where he comes from and where he is going after he completes his life in this world." Finally a book that claims it has all of the answers to all of the questions I have been asking my entire life. I of course was a little skeptical at first for one book to possess such knowledge but it is not about a book it is about an ancient wisdom that has been passed down from teacher to student since Abraham. If you have ever asked yourself any of the questions above then you owe it to yourself to read this book! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. It¿d a fair guess that 99% of humanity has no idea what kabbalah is. Reliable books on the subject aimed at the general public just started appearing as late as 1995. This book, ¿Kabbalah for Beginners¿, was written by Michael Laitman - one of the foremost kabbalists living today. In it¿s short 64 pages it explains kabbalah correctly, setting the right course for future study. There is also information on how to study and where to get instruction. If you¿ve never heard of Kabbalah or are wondering what it¿s all about I highly recommend this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I recommend this book to anyone looking for the true meaning of their life. I found that Kabbalah for Beginners was very easy to read and follow. This book had a lot to offer me and all of humanity. I have never understood the purpose of my life, but after reading this book I understand that all of humanity needs to unite, that this is the only way for us to live in harmony, and unless we change ourselves the world will not change for the better. We see that egoism has reached such intensity and this is the underlying basis for all the pain and suffering humanity is experiencing. We all have a misunderstanding of Nature¿s rules, the only way we can minimize our suffering is by applying The Wisdom of Kabbalah. Kabbalah is a Science anyone can study and apply in their day to day life. Kabbalah is a method that can help transform our human egoism into altruism, living together as one and not feeling separated. Anyone that is looking for the Truth, look no further this book has it all.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

The question of receiving maximum enjoyment while still living in this world is the central question of our existence; all other questions are just little pieces of it. The science of Kabbalah answers this question in a systematic and practical way. However, these great pleasures will be avalable to you only after some serious spiritual improvements. The book 'Kabbalah for Beginners' by Michael Laitman is the best place to start your spiritual growth in the right direction. Once you start reading this book (and the rest in the series) your eyes will literally open and you will see the TRUTH about the structure of the world. D.K.Was this review helpful?
