Good ideas for paper piecing blocks

I am not a fan of paper piecing but if you are there are 10 quilt designs you can make to create gorgeous quilts. I even see one or two that I think I can do just as piecing designs.

The first 10 pages gives you the basics needed to do paper piecing or it is a good review if you already know how. Following this, each project has a color photo and a small blurb about the item. Clearly written materials and cutting lists gets you started. Colored graphics show you how to sew the blocks and the written instructions are easy enough to understand.

The paper piecing patterns you need to copy are given at full size and my favorite thing --- there are quilting designs suggestions instead of the usual “quilt as desired”! Even if I don’t do exactly as suggested, I like to have the option to see what the author did.

The final page gives a short bio about the author. This is always fun to read to see where the author got their start. Who knows? Maybe someone reading this will end up being a known quilt author.
