I used this book and I got a 4 on the National Exam! That probably came from a huge mixture of myself and my teacher, but the book really helped, especially with review. Also I started reviewing with the book like two weeks before the test...don't do that! What I did was split up the pages based on how many days before the test I wanted to be done and read that many per day. For each page I'd summarize outloud what I just read to help me remember it. One of the awesome things about the book is the end-of-chapter mini quizzes! They are kind of easy, but they tell whether or not you were paying attention. This book is nice because, unlike our textbooks, it gives you the main and most important details. It also has a bunch of sample essays and even two full length tests. The practice DBQs actually have pictures like the real ones sometimes do. The diagnostic test at the beginning was helpful as well. I haven't used any other AP guides other than Kaplan since this was my first AP class I've taken, but my teacher recommended it and it worked well for me! Good luck anyone taking this course!
