    I Also Recommend:

    A "must buy," but could use more PAT review - Kaplan vs. Barron's DAT Review

    This book is very well organized, with the chapters in a proper order which makes review simple. Other review books sometimes hop around too much, referencing topics in Chapter 3 that might not be covered until Chapter 5, for example.

    The text is easy to read, and the diagrams are useful. I did encounter in Chapter 8 of General Chemistry that they continually referenced a diagram that was not in the text, but that is the only major mistake I noticed in the book so far.

    The lack of typos / errors is the main reason I would recommend this book over the Barron's book. Do not read Barron's chemistry section. There are typos there that lead to erroneous information. (For example, adding the word "not" into sentences, which completely reverses the meaning of the sentence / concept you are studying!) Additionally, most of the example problems have mistakes in the Barron's book, which doesn't help you learn. The Kaplan book definitely has the win here, they must have a better editor.

    However, the Kaplan book has NO tactics for taking the PAT section. It merely explains in depth what each section of the PAT is testing. The Barron's book would be better here, because it gives you tips & tricks to help you with improving on your PAT section. That is the only thing that makes the Barron's book better, but possibly worth buying since it is so cheap.

    Also, I love Exam Kracker's MCAT review - skip the physics & verbal reasoning (the reading section on the 2 exams are so different). Combined with Kaplan's Science & Barron's PAT, you will be more than prepped!
