Overview

For more than 30 years, Kaplan Medical has helped thousands of students and doctors successfully prepare for the USMLE and board exams. Kaplan Medical Master the Boards: Internal Medicine familiarizes students with key words, concepts, and diagnoses on the challenging board exam. The test’s most important concepts are outlined and explained by a topranked Kaplan Medical instructor.

Designed both for first-time test takers and those seeking recertifi cation, this book organizes study prep by disease. Each chapter features words that help students recognize a problem diagnostically, the associations with related problems, the next steps in management, the best initial and most accurate diagnostic tests, the best initial and most effective therapy, and long-term problems. Basic science and statistics that are imperative to a doctor’s general knowledge, but not directly related to the Boards, are organized in sidebars.
