When I first stumbled across the website, I had no idea what to expect. As I kept scrolling toward the bottom, I saw a book with my name at the bottom. Then, I filled out the request more information form and it found me communicating with the author himself. I finally had to have my own copy of this book with my name so inquired at Barnes and Noble in Fargo, ND and was able to land a personal copy.
I was attracted to the cover with a bird, mountain, water, grass, and flowers before I was able to delve into the inside. An animal lover at heart, I could relate to the main character when he wants to be at peace with everyone and not kill to survive. In the end, he has lots of friends that miss him when he is gone.
A brief 69-page read this book could be truly universal for all generations to prepare as they journey to the top of the mountain. Unlike birds, people cannot fly; however, they can climb up the mountain one step at a time. They may meet many people, animals, and experiences along the way, and when they reach the summit they will be the guest of honor at an eternal celebration.
