Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"The irrepressible Pilkey strikes again with a spoof of the famous film, enacted by a real cat and some mice in color photo images imposed on background paintings. Artfully designed, colorful, and funny—especially for those who know King Kong."—Kirkus Reviews

Praise for Kat Kong and Dogzilla:
"These two brazenly funny picture books spoof Godzilla and King Kong as they launch the mice inhabitants of Mousopolis against, respectively, a killer cat and dog. . . . Pilkey's irreverent exuberance is irresistible."—Publishers Weekly (starred review)

    Timless Pictures and Storylines!

We discoverred both the KatKong and Dogzilla childrens books by Dav Pilkey in 1993/1994. Our kids were 4 plus years of age at the time and these books were shared with them at bath time and bed time repeatedly over the next few years. And now our grand kids ages 3 and 5 are enjoying these timeless books with equal enthusiasm!

    Entertaining!

Great book except when the cat dies at the end!! Sure, he deserved some sort of "cat"astrophic ending but death???

    Kat Kong is Hilarious!

My son who is 4, and I, read this book and DogZilla by checking it out from the library and fell in love with them. I bought them both along with a few of other Pilkey's books.

    Wonderful book

My son has loved this book from the first time I brought it home. He is only 3, but has every page memorized. Great book for all ages.

    What a cute book!

This is definitely a great book--not just for kids, but for cat-lovers too! I have a cat that looks (and acts) just like Kat Kong. We have a great time reading this with him around!
