Nods and apologizes for the mix up. She looks at Jayde and the other girl. "If you want a home come to our home child." She then leads Melody who carries the cat and herself carrying Charlotte to our home child all results.
I read this book when I was about 13 yr old (1983). I was not a reader, but was forced to pick a book from the library. I chose this one because it was diary format and seemed like an easy read. This book gave me a new understanding about taking ownership for the choices we make. I opened my eyes to why my parents made some of the decision they made regarding teenage limitations. This book touched me more than anything else I've ever read and thanks to this book, I'm now an avid reader. I highly recommend it.
