I¿m not much of a romance reader, but when it comes to books by

I’m not much of a romance reader, but when it comes to books by Wanda B. Campbell, I look forward to the experience. Her characters are always authentic and going through real issues that anyone can relate to. Kayla has certainly been through a season of trying times and she is one angry woman. She is particularly angry with God and wants nothing to do with Him. How can she when so much has happened to her?

When Minister Samuel Jerrod meets Kayla, he is smitten by her and at the same time stunned by her bitterness towards the mighty God that he serves. He sets out to become her friend and to gain her trust. As Kayla and Samuel grow closer, Kayla soon realizes she is going to have to make some tough decisions.

Kayla’s Redemption is a beautiful novel that display not only a budding romance between a couple, but a woman being wooed by the ultimate lover … the lover of her soul. This is a novel you will certainly not put down until you have reached the last page.

    Loved it

This is my first book by this author! I really love her clean style and authentic weaving of everyday drama into the storyline. She does a great job of letting the Lord in without being preachy and I love it! WBC might get added to my 'favorites list'. MitziD

Kayla Perez no longer believes in God. Her mother used to take

Kayla Perez no longer believes in God. Her mother used to take her and her brother to church as children, but Kayla no longer believes the things that she was taught. Kayla lost her father at a very young age. She also lost her best friend at a young age and she blames that death on a member of the church. Just recently, Kayla was robbed and raped. These incidents have put a tremendous amount of grief and weight on her shoulders that she feels she will never be rid of; and she blames God for it all. Shortly after her attack, Kayla meets her new neighbor, Sam Jerrod. Sam is immediately smitten by Kayla and makes himself available to her through her healing process. All seems to be going well with the newfound friends, until Kayla learns that Sam is an Administrative Pastor for one of the largest churches in the area.
Kayla’s behavior didn’t surprise me at all because I have come across individuals who not only choose not to believe, but they blame God for everything wrong in their lives. I think part of Kayla’s problem was that she was so young when tragedy struck, and she didn’t talk about it. As the truth was revealed to her about the past incidents, it was a relief to watch Kayla in her transformation to love and believe in God. Through Sam, she was able to see God’s goodness and why Sam so heavily relied on his Heavenly Father. It is a story of anger, hurt, and depression that transforms into a story of love, joy, and hope. For those who may be struggling it is a testimony about how knowing and accepting God can change your life. For those who are already believers, it is as delightful as watching someone accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. This was an emotional, but touching Christian read. A must have for my bookshelf.

    Great Read!

Kayla’s Redemption pulls at the heartstrings as it ministers to the soul. Ms. Campbell has yet again succeeded in penning a realistic portrayal of the ups and downs experienced when faced with a painful past that overshadows a promising future. Kayla finds it difficult to let go and allow her heart to be tapped by her newfound friend, Samuel. This book will appeal to anyone who has ever been hurt and wonders why God would allow such things to happen. Ms. Campbell’s books are a welcomed treat.

    A Clearer View

Minister Samuel Jerrod finds himself in a most peculiar situation when he meets his neighbor, Kayla Perez. In a short period of time there’s no mistaking that they’re meant to be. In spite of what they know, their desire must take a backseat to the calling on Sam’s life. It must because Kayla lacks the one thing Sam must have in a wife. Kayla’s Redemption is a prime example of what can detour or destroy destiny when life issues go unresolved. Author Campbell has given readers an entertaining and thought-provoking story of redemption. Dr. Linda F. Beed / Reviewer
