Overview

Keeping your love on.

It’s a hard thing to do. Sometimes it’s the hardest thing to do. But if you want to

build healthy relationships with God and others, learning to keep your love on

is non-negotiable.

Adults and children alike thrive in healthy relationships where it is safe to love

and be loved, to know and be known. Yet for many, relationships are anything

but safe, loving, or intimate. They are defined by anxiety, manipulation, control,

and conflict. The reason is that most people have never been trained to be

powerful enough to keep their love on in the face of mistakes, pain, and fear.

Keep Your Love On reveals the higher, Jesus-focused standard defined by mature

love—love that stays ‘on’ no matter what. Danny Silk’s practical examples and

poignant stories will leave you with the power to draw healthy boundaries,

communicate in love, and ultimately protect your connections so you can love

against all odds. As a result, your relationships will be radically transformed for

eternity. When you learn to keep your love on, you become like Jesus.

Meet the Author

Danny and Sheri Silk serve on the Senior Management Team at Bethel Church in Redding, California. Danny directs the Global Transformation Institute—a leadership development team—oversees Bethel’s staff development, and together with Sheri, is the co-founder Loving On Purpose Educational Services, an international ministry dedicated to communities and families. Danny’s life mission is to strengthen inter-personal relationships within the Church Body. His vision is to build and sustain a culture of honor by challenging traditional paradigms that subjugate disempowered subcultures such as those who have made mistakes, those held to a “sinful” past, women, and children. These subjects are discussed from a “heart-focused” perspective rather than a theologically-based study in his previous two books: Loving our Kids on Purpose, 2008 (Amazon rank 8,201 in books on 10/26/12), and Culture of Honor, 2009 (Amazon rank 7,968 in books on 10/26/12), and explored further in Powerful and Free: Confronting the Glass Ceiling for Women in the Church, which was released by Red Arrow in December, 2012.

I am an educator and prayer counsellor. This book of Danny’s, “Keep Your Love On” is one of the most powerful, straightforward tools for promoting relational wholeness that I have come across. It is like 911 for relationships, and is fast becoming a staple of my inner healing and prayer counselling work with couples, and families. Each chapter is like having a personal counselling session with Danny guided by the Holy Spirit. It will radically heal your relationships and change your life if you are willing to yield to the life-giving truths that jump off of the pages! SES, M Ed
