I would have given more stars however the author seemed to love throwing in way too many cuss words when it wasn't needed to make a point

The action scenes were great. Have to agree that the author made me like the male lead more than Lucy. It got a bit repetitive at times and I skipped some paragraphs. I liked it enough that I would have bought the second book except the female lead in it was barely mentioned so I didn't feel invested,. If it had been Ethan or Dan I probably would have.

This is a review of Keeper VS Reaper by author Jennifer Malone Wright. This is book 1 of the series Graveyard Guardians by the author. Lucy Mae Estmond inherits the family business, keeping souls safe from the reapers after the body has died, and now she believe that the prophecy of the Chosen One she has heard about is about her. Jack Walker can not deny the scorching attraction to Lucy but he has a mission to fulfill and that is to make sure the prophecy does not come true and he is sent to kill Lucy. wow is all I can say about this book.

#TeamJack YES PLEASE!, June 23, 2014 This book is so different from anything I've read lately. You've got Reapers that survive on souls, & the Keepers who have sworn to protect the souls. They have been enemies since, well forever. Until...Jack walked in for a donut. Who knew their whole world to be turned upside down with one simple touch? Ok...I seriously could not put this book down! The character's personalities are as dazzling as their auras, their sarcasm contagious, & the possibilities unlimited.  The reference to Romeo & Juliet fits well as these two families, born enemies, shall not accept one another much less allow whatever is happening between Lucy & Jack to continue. Or will they? No spoilers here...You will have to snatch this story up upon release to get the details, folks. Trust me when I tell you that you will NOT regret it!

Jennifer has done her magic again with this one!! Loved, loved, loved it!!! KvR grabbed my attention and it never let go. This book is so good, avery satisfying read, a real page turner. I love how intense and full of twists the story line took me. It takes you on a journey of the Keepers that protect the souls, allthe while there's the Reapers (Hellooooo Jack!) that collects them. The characters are so well written, the plot deepened as it developed. Definitely one of my favorite books of the year. Can not wait for the next installment, waiting patiently to see what happens next. Thank you Jennifer. Keep them coming!!!!

The book was great. It had potential. I actually chose to read this book, because I am writing about the love of a reaper as well. Strictly as a reader I found it very hard to get captured into the flow of Lucy when I was instantly caught in Jacks POV. Everything seemed very detailed in the wrong places which is why I probably wasn't able to get into Lucys head. The part where she is told by her father that she is the chosen one felt as though it should have been a important part to the chapter, but instead it was to laid back and almost seemed as though it was rushed and unrealistic (in the fictional term of unrealistic) the character of Lucy didn't feel at all relatable..not enough emotion. I don't say this to dish on the book entirely, because truly it was a good book..I just felt distant from Lucy and had trouble picturing any scene ( other than the funeral of her father) would love to read the next one!!! (: keep on writing!

I was addicted to this book from beginning to end and I enjoyed every minute of it!!! I never would have thought in a million years that this amazing author could blow me away once again, and guess what, she has amazed me with her writing style with this new series. This story is full of action, suspense, and family. That's what I liked the most about the book was how tight the family was to one another. I loved the love, hate, and romance throughout the story. It has for sure left me wanting to read the next one!! I am also all for #TeamJack. He is super hot and super sexy and a reaper!!! This book is full of surprises but yet some parts you just knew would eventually happen, it was just a matter of time. I highly recommend this NA Paranormal!! Due to the graphic language, reader discretion is advised. Hurry and pick up this phenomenal story and I am sure you will be just as hooked as I am to this story. I am so ready for book two and see were the next journey will take us.

Jennifer Malone Wright’s “Keeper vs. Reaper” is the first book in the “Graveyard Guardians” series. If you liked “Charmed” or “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” you will like this story. The “bad guys” are soul suckers (reapers) and the leading man, Jack, is an interesting aberration among them. Lucy, the leading lady, is part of a soul-guarding (keeper) family. I love the ghostly father interactions too. Lucy and Jack are drawn to each other and their connection is very steamy! When I reached the last page, I kept tapping my kindle screen over and over not wanting to be at 100%. I can’t wait to hear what happens next.
