    I Also Recommend:

    Useful, convenient, entertaining!

This cookbook is not a technical guide to cooking. It doesn't have photos of completed dishes, and yet it's my favorite cookbook! The recipes are presented one per page and are grouped by season rather than type of dish so there's several main dishes, sides, and desserts in each season. The dishes are easy, yummy, and realistic- not fancy gourmet with odd ingredients! I've made many for weeknight dinners, special events, and potlucks at work.
And I enjoy the illustrations as much as cooking and eating the dishes! The pages have hand-written recipes and many include brief stories; and colorful, hand-drawn borders and pictures that give a homey and comfortable feeling to enjoy using the book.
The recipes and the illustrations in this cookbook have led me to purchase others by this author and illustrator team for myself and as gifts.
