In the prequel to Ken's character I was treated to a view of him that I didn't see in the novel, Desperate Times. It's a wonderful stand-alone story as well as a prequel to the novel. Desperate Times is a must read!

Neither of thesr "prequels" make enough 'sense' to want to read anything more!
