Oh, how I loved this story (!) about a cowboy (Judd) and a veterinarian (Mandy), who at first appeared to have nothing in common except a rocky past and being neighbors. But being neighbors brought them together often in fun, mutual problem solving, and love. I recognized many of the relationships and family situations in this story as having occurred in my own life. This author's depth of understanding of these relationships and situations and the resolutions to the problems that crop up in families is astounding. I find myself nodding my head as I read her stories, smiling at some of the scenes in the story, and feeling sad with some of the others...but always feeling as if I know the characters myself, intimately. Ms. Scarbrough is a wonderful writer. Now I'm going to read the rest of her Kentucky Reunion series!
