Ketchikan or Bust
After a long salmon fishing trip in The Bear Claw, it's time for a vacation. Tom decides that an adventure on mainland Alaska is in order so after clearing up with Captain Vic he prepares for his trip. He finds an old motorcycle to ride and equips it for a long journey. Swan joins him as he heads across Alaska and British Columbia toward Ketchikan. It's an interesting trip to take in the autumn, especially with the frosty nights and a hot companion. Their vacation is full of delight and wonderment as Tom and Swan explore their new love and see the sights of Alaska. Meteor showers, the aurora borealis and a bath with a moose make for an interesting backdrop during the night and their days are filled with exploring, gold panning and motorcycle riding. The Bird House, Chilkoot Charlie's and a bar in Whitehorse add to their nightlife that gives Swan a chance to really come out of her shell. They meet some interesting characters on their adventure and Swan proves to be an intriguing character all on her own. To be so full of lust and desire! The story is just like Alaska - serious, tender, funny, and real.
