The plot was choppy and the characters were not developed. I felt as if I was missing part of the story.

(Note to the reader prolouge is in Amanda thosses "hello" and sample one is in barry rachin's juny book.") Kat stared dreamily at his devilishly handsome smile that made her weak in the knees. "I'll be happy to take you beautiful women to the garden," his very low tone shooke Kat , he leaned his head closer to hers "especially you miss." Kat watched him bring her hand to his lips as he kissed it. Kat just stared at him. He was gorgeous ! I mean so is Xander , but whoever this guy was ,was ...something else. "But you're not . You arent taking her anywhere." Xander stepped between them his masculine figure taking up her whole view so all Kat saw was his back, even though that was probably what he wanted. She heard a deep "why not?" And saw half of the guys hip pop out. "Because , im taking her. Kate lets go. Bye." Xander pulled her arm hard so she would have to follow behind him. They were half way down the stairs when kat looked back at the weird looks she was getting ... again. Ugh , she thought, im never going to live this down. Xander stopped when they were out of sight and hugged her. Kat let out a suprised "oh" and felt her face prickle with heat . Xader buried his face deep in her hair " Don't go near him. Please stay with me." Xander half whipered half muffled. Kat's heart constricted and she whispered back "im already here."

Really liked how characters were everyday people. Easy to relate. Plus they were not 22 and perfect. A bit choppy and the ending came suddenly almost like having a door slam shut

Story was sweet after I got past the wordiness at the beginning. A bit hard to follow because of lack of transition between scenes. Really enjoyed "retribution" for street punk and that heroine was not turned into a weak willed mess yelling "What did you do?"

Maybe could be good, but I read 77 pages and could not get into it. Very slow and inconsistent

Could not relate comfortably with the characters or plot. Felt disjointed at times. Sweet love story.
