About the Author

Dr. Rimm is a psychologist who specializes in working with gifted children. She directs the Family Achievement Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a clinical professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She has authored more than 20 books and hundreds of articles, several of which have won awards. Dr. Rimm also writes a parenting column syndicated nationally through Creators Syndicate, and she has served for many years on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Gifted Children. Her several years as a contributing correspondent to NBC’s Today show and as a favorite personality on public radio make her a familiar child psychologist to many audiences.
