Text is readable, but this is a Google-digitzation of a copy from the holdings of the NY Public Library. The formatting is whimsical and there are many garbles and artifacts from the digitization.

SO glad I took a chance on this title!

I actually bought this as a hard cover book first, an antique at a flea market. I was intrigued by the title as I like to read about exotic places. This turned out to be such a fun book; it has a fantasy fairytale quality with out being juvenile. It has adventure, romance and it is so beautifully written. The dialogue between the main characters is amazing and gets you thinking about life and love but I promise it is NOT a "romance" novel! I bought the NOOK version so I could reread the book; mine is so old it is falling apart. I will be trying other titles by this author.
