    I Also Recommend:

First and foremost, before I begin this review, it must be noted

First and foremost, before I begin this review, it must be noted that I have not played any of Spirit of the Century, the role playing game this universe is based out of. I also have not read any of the Dinopocalypse trilogy that this book continues from. I just saw this amazing cover, read the back, and was intrigued to read this story. I had no idea what kind of an adventure I was about to begin.

Kahn of Mars follows the exploits of Professor Kahn, an ultra intelligent Ape, and his partner Bulls-eye,a cowboy sharpshooter. In the beginning of the book a portal is opened that sends the heroes to Mars. An uprising is occurring and a prophecy has foretold that a black ape will come to lead the people of Mars against the evil Weather Witch and bring peace to the land. The other half of the cast are Khan's colleagues who are trying to find a way to bring them back.

This story is awesome! Mars is described in vibrant detail and all the inhabitants have their own uniqueness that keeps you interested. Khan and Bulls-eye are great as well. They are very well wrote out and you connect with them really quickly. Not a single side character lacks as much description as our heroes. The novel brings to life a universe that feels as captivating as Star Wars.

As for the action, this book keeps it over the top. As I've stated, I've never played the RPG it is based on. From what I understand it is a pulp over the top action game and this story makes you feel as you're listening in on a great gaming sessions. Every chapter is action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you watch this conflict unfold before your eyes. My only complaint is that the book is short, clocking in at a little over 200 pages. I felt like I finished it in only an hour or two, but what an awesome couple of hours it was.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes Sci-Fi and well wrote out characters. Because it, I bought the Spirit of the Century RPG book and can't wait to start a campaign with my friends! This is a wonderful universe!
