Overview

Cami Avesque is a shy, wannabe journalist, working for the largest newspaper in Ohio. She's stuck editing classified ads until she lands her big break. That break comes when the only female sports reporter goes on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. For some reason, Cami is chosen to cover The Slam, a rugby team in Colt, Ohio. They have a chance of going all the way to the Rugby League Championship.

Unfortunately, Cami has a poor track record with jocks and going all the way is one of her problems. Because of her past, she hides her assets behind clothes that are a size too large and big glasses that camouflage the sexual sizzle that eats ripped bodies for lunch. Shy, she must remember she's shy. If only man muscle didn't bring her wild side out to play she might survive a rugby try.

Gorgeous brothers, Van and Joel Stelson, own, manage, and play for The Slam. They see through Cami's cover up and attack in order to make their goal. Who will be the first to get her in bed? Who will be the first to win her heart?

Remember in rugby... 80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Lets Ruck!

Not sure if i understand rugby after reading this book but i would watch it for the men. Really enjoyed this book and series. Very erotic, funny and a great story line .I wanted to stop reading  the book a couple times cause i was upset with players. SO glad I kept going, that is not to say i didn't want to slap the crap out of Cami ,Joel and Van several times. I think when an author makes you feel that involved with the plot  you know you have a winner. I have felt that way with EVERY BOOK i have read in this series. So thank you Holly . Please go out and get this series you will not be disappointed .

I've enjoyed Holly's Completion series.  Each book can be read as a stand alone.  Kick  is the third book in this series and features two rugby players who happen to be brothers.  I found the dynamic to be very interesting. I read Kick  fairly quickly.  It's well written and interesting.  I'm not a huge fan of triangles and even less so when they involve siblings.  It's a guarantee someone is going to get hurt and when it's family involved, the hurt is deeper and harder to shake off.  I liked Cami.  I also liked Van and Joel.  Both of them have different personalities and that plays a large role in how the story plays out. I was a little let down by the mystery surrounding Cami's assignment.  There was all this build up and then nothing.  The ending was very sweet.  I do hope this series continues and eager to see which sport and how it'll be featured.

I had a hard time finishing this book due to the stupidity of the character Cami all the other series I had no problem with the female characters. The other reviews were misleading to say the least. The book did make me want to research the sport of Rugby though.

So fun!! A great romance book complete with the delicious, rubgy playing male leads (yes, you get two of them!) and a heroine who refuses to give up.  I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Cami grow as a character and becoming someone I could be great friends with.  In the beginnging she so unbearable shy and timid.  However, Roberts slowly elvolves Cami throughout the story - she grows as a character as her passions for rugby, her career, and her love interest explode.   Also, I just have to say the Joel is the perfect man - so patient, so kind, so understanding, and still so Alpha. This book made me want to go check out a rugby match and see if can check out any Joels or Vans.

Brothers and muscles, boobs and mistakes, passion, love and a happily ever after. I thought Cami was an endearing character. She's shy but she's strong, she has body image issues, and her thing for muscles, while humorous, has led her to make more than one bad decision. I enjoyed the journey Cami took in the story, learning to accept herself, how to move forward from her mistakes, and how to go after what she wants. The brothers. Van and Joel. It's hard to say much about them without giving away the storyline (go read Kick to find out!) but they are hot and muscled and complicated and completely unprepared for Cami. At times they were frustrating and adorable and all alpha. I loved the way Holly Roberts presented rugby, the excitement of the sport that I'm completely unfamiliar with, the respect between characters and the camaraderie of the fans. Kick is the first book that I have read in the Completion series - they are each standalone novels - and now I want to go and read Play and Strike. I realize kick is a read alone book but to me Play Strike and Kick are a series and belong together. D you now have me reading up on rugby...lol I would have never thought about picking up a book with a sports name on the front of it but I love everything she writes I sucked up everything she's put out but kick is so much more than sports. Theres a love story there you have to read you will be hooked on all three of these books and will reread them again. Holly Roberts makes you fall in love with all her characters. With kick I had a love hate relationship with one of the brothers van I was ready to kick his a** but ended up loving him by the end of the book. Cami and Joel where a perfect match the sex was hot and I love the way Holly pulls you in. Truly a must read book. Start with Play move to Strike finish it off with Kick you want be disappointed.....Now hurry and put the next one out........
