The 13 performances on this 1998 CD sampler feature a variety of the top jazz organists of the previous 40 years on selections all easily available elsewhere leased from Telarc, Fantasy, Sony, Polygram, Blue Note and Minor Music. Although the music is reasonably enjoyable, the poor documentation no personnel listing or dates is inexcusable. If one wonders who a particular guitar or saxophone soloist might be, they can keep on wondering or do their own research. Obviously, this release is primarily for the casual listener who simply desires some grooving background music.
