Kids, Cars and Campfires

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Jeff Burger
You don't have to be a kid to appreciate this collection of children's folk songs, which are drawn from previously issued CDs on the Red House label. Luckily, its roster includes artists with a real affinity for this genre: Tom Paxton, for one, devotes a big chunk of his repertoire to songs for kids. The lyrics and music here boast a playfulness and sense of innocence that will keep the children listening; but musically, these artists don't "talk" down to kids -- which is why you may well find yourself slipping this onto the player when your offspring are nowhere in sight.
