Overview

Ever wish the world was an easier place? When Diana gets her wish, it is! It’s Kids’ Day from coast to coast. Anything goes, and no one knows what will happen next. Will teenage bullies take over the world? Or will Diana and her brothers save it?

While camping in the mountains with her parents and three brothers, DIANA gets sick of being asked to help out by her workaholic parents, and escapes into the woods where she meets FLORA, the Roman Goddess, who grants her wish that adults stop working and start playing.

At first it’s great! MOM and DAD are off their cell phones and totally involved with Diana and her brothers, ERIC, BOBBY and TEDDY. Diana and the boys find the TEACHERS in the school crawling on the floor playing cat and mouse with the kids, building walls out of books, and collecting candy for tolls, and when they go to the video store, they discover that the green stuff is just play money! Their first inkling that all is not perfect occurs when people start fighting over toys and ice cream in the mall, but they get their share, so why worry? Bobby, Diana’s teenage brother, suggests a trip to the supermarket where they are attacked by teenager, RIDLEY JONES, and his GANG on the way out. After a wild car chase through the neighborhood, the kids end up back home with the groceries.

At night, the lights go out, and kids, parents, and neighbors have a great cookout under the stars, and decide to camp out on the lawn. But when it starts to rain in the early hours of the morning and the water no longer works in the house, the kids begin to suspect that kids’ day is about more than just fun. And when PENNY, the girl next door, tells them that her GRANDMA is sick, they go to the hospital and find out just how out of control things really are. Diana, her brothers, and Penny decide that adults really do have to work.

But having Diana's wish rescinded isn't as easy as having it granted. Ridley’s gang is after them, threatening Diana and her group as they head back to the mountains to set things right. After a wild chase, heroics all around, and a horseback ride through the mountains, Diana seeks out the goddess, Flora, and things return to normal. Well, almost. Workaholic Mom may have learned a little something too.
