Overview

Estela Ramos isn’t looking for love and thinks there’s nothing wrong with that. But ask her mother or best friend and they’d tell you different. Moo says Estela fears rejection while her mother thinks she’s too gordita. Maybe they’re both right, but Estela is pretty damn happy with the status quo, well, sorta.

At 26 years old, Estela is completely inexperienced in love, and the women in her life just won’t let her die a lonely virgin spinster with donut glaze on her face. She has no time for men, but after a few matchmaking attempts, courtesy of Moo and Estela's family, men begin descending upon her with great gusto and flair. One who may be the Antichrist, or at the very least have a psycho-complex, won’t take “no thanks” for an answer. The other, with striking green eyes and gentle touch, makes her entire body pulse and buzz.

Estela is overwhelmed by both and one thing’s certain: She won’t get anywhere if she can’t learn to forget the past and really see the one who stands in front of her, eager to love her as she is.

Book I in the "Killing Memories" series.

An entertaining story I couldn't put down. It was a pretty quick read considering how long it is too.

This story wll have you falling in love with the characters and sucked into their world as they go through tears, laughter, and moments of sheer embarrassment. This is a hard story to put down.

It was a little slow going for me at first but I loved it n laughed in alot of parts

I had to stop reading after the first 2 chapters. The main character was incessantly brooding about being a 26 yr old chubby virgin. I was fine with it until she recalled WHY ... blaming it on her age 14 lustful dreams of the high school jock that so rudely turned her down. I just dont find it believable that a 14 yr old chubby girl is dreaming of sex under the bleachers. Kissing? Yes. Fondling? Probably. Having the hottest guy in school strip her chubby body down and ravage her under the bleachers and in the locker room? Nope. Not buying it. I could go on, but I wont. It just wasnt for me. I couldnt connect with this character at all. I know other people that have fully enjoyed it, so give it a shot for yourself.

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Only complaint is the lack off editing. Some sentences were pretty convoluted. I can not wait for the next one. 961 pages and almost all of them story...nice! Not for younger readers as it contains adult situations.

I loved reading Estela's story. It had be both laughing out loud and crying. Poor Estela has had a a lot of heartache but with people like her aunt, uncle, Moo and the oh so sweet Caleb, she has a great chance to have her happy ever after. Even though this book is 961 pages long, this is only book 1 and I cant wait to read Killing Monster's next.

I really enjoyed this book! I couldn't put it down once it got going. The story made you laugh while wanting to cry at the same time. Being a chubby girl with insecurities myself, you can relate to the lead characters plight. Her mama's mean to her and reminds her how undesirable she is and would be to any man because she's fat. Her mother has her own demons and anger from the past with Estela's father and can't deal so she takes it out on her. Her best friend "Moo" is her rock and greatest support. She has her own demons but they are always there for each other. I felt like I was reading about my own past with a gorgeous bff..just minus the creepy stalker. On to book two...

This was hard to put down, funny, entertaining, a few editing errors but not bad enough to mess up story...

What a story. Moo & Es's friendship, Caleb's patience & stalker issues. Can't believe i read this 900+page book in 24 hours. Such an excellent telling, can't wait for the next book.

I really enjoyed this book - so much that I read the entire series.

After reading the reviews, I noticed that the negatives were from those who did not finish. I decided to read through the end no matter how boring the beginning was. I am glad I kept reading. The first 200 or so pages were boring and a bit annoying. Once Estela met Caleb, things started to pick up. The rest of the novel was full of adventure, mystery, and a bit of humor. I am excited to read the next in the series!

I found this to be a really good book. Granted it had some grammer issues that could be overlooked (it was free, what would you expect).Im looking forward to reading the second one in the series!

Wow! This was a great book, it had me laughing out loud with some of the scenes. It'sso much fun to read you won't be dissappointed. This has been the first book that has made me spend money to buy the sequel. I'd considered buying books from other series but I didn't until this one. It's light, funny, romantic, and a little sad too. Great book!!!

The author shows how childhood bullying can follow some people into adulthood. Ms. Moore will keep you guessing to the very end on how Stela really knows Caleb.

This wasn't the worst book I've read. It had some cute parts in it. Overall, it just wasn't something I was really into.

At first I wasn't sure... it didn't seem like much of a murder/thriller-type story, like the ones I usually ready. The joke's on me. I love it. I've stayed up faaaaar too late 2 nights in a row reading it. I can't wait to finish and read the next one!
