    Skinny Quilts

    SKINNY QUILTS
    BY: KIM SCHAEFER

All the quilts in this book are very modern in design and all of them would
make wonderful bed quilts. There are 15 projects of skinny bed warmers or table runners. I have a lot of wall space that is skinny and long which I think Kim’s designs in this book would be wonderful as contemporary art. All of the designs are from very simple block design but really have a dramatic look. Color and texture is the trick to these designs because of the simple blocks; you really could play with color. I have read several of Kim’s books and they are always show lots of impact from simple design. This one is packed full of ideas for any level quilter. In fact, I have a group of quilters at church and I think I would like to try one of Kim’s design in a large quilt with them, I know beginners will not have trouble piecing the blocks from these book. The piecing instructions are very simply done with good illustration, not much room for err!!
