An emotional block prevented me from composing music for a span of ten years after the passing of my dear mother, of blessed memory. During this time period, I discovered a new spark of inspiration to create again, this time through the visual arts. I was able to "kindle" the spark with the help of a wonderful art teacher and a supportive community. The art in this book is a reflection of my healing journey and reconnection to my Jewish heritage and cultural practices.
