A pretty satisfying end to a good series, I suppose. Not the atypical happy ending that you'd expect, not completely, but you still got a pretty good feeling of closure from this one, and that's super rare with a RCD book. Political intrigue and plot twists make this a good fantasy read.  The only thing I hated was that half of the book revolved around: Fyn: I really want Isolt, but I can't have her. Byren: I really want Florin, but I can't have her. Florin: I really want Byren, but I can't have him. That's literally half of the book, but if you can get over the sappy, self-pity romance, you'll find that there's a pretty decent plot underneath.  Also, nearly forgot to mention. This book was in desperate need of an edit. Grammatical errors, misspellings, and word repetition everywhere. You knew there was going to be trouble when the main character's name was spelled wrong on the back cover. Not to take away from the story itself, however; still a good read.

Not a boring spot in it, would have liked a different ending but can't have everything.

Terrible conclusion.Has to be the stupidest group of characters yet. Everyone seems to live happily ever after except for Byren who gets a raw deal. These characters consistently get themselves into fixes and bad situations you can see coming from five miles away. THEY NEVER LEARN! I was really disappointed in Byren's fate. Huge letdown.
