Overview

The long-awaited sequel to the bestselling, award-winning King Hall: the revolution is here, but the most dangerous attack may come from within...

The safe, comfortable world of Lily Ruckler and her fellow Mystical Kings and Queens is rocked to the core by the attacks at King Hall. Not only does Lily have to kill the Commoners attacking her people, she also has to assume the mantle of leadership, and bring the surviving Mysticals to King Cave.

It should have been too much, but she is not alone. Ezra becomes her rock, her best friend, the one person who understands. As Pearl and Jack struggle with inconsolable loss, Ezra and Lily work to keep the Mys community safe in their new home, and plan a deadly retaliation.

Their friendship saves them both...but it also draws attention. Whispers. Judgment. It's not normal for Shifters and Vampires to be friends, and when a horrifying truth is revealed, their relationship morphs from unusual to unspeakable. Lily is good at keeping secrets that could get her killed. Is she willing to risk Ezra's life as well?

I think that the second book in this series is almost better than the first. I am not a huge fan of paranormal books but I got the chance to read King Hall and I really enjoyed the book so I figured I would give the next one in the series a try. Over the years I have found that for some books the next books are not as good as the first one was. Let me tell you that is not the case with this book. The story grabs your attention from the start and holds you right up until the very end of the book. Ezra and Lily are such well written characters that you find yourself feeling the whole range of emotions that you find through the whole story. The twists keep things interesting and you don’t see most of them coming. I have enjoyed these books so much that I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out. I know that I will be buying the next book the day it comes out and no matter what other book I am reading I will stop that one and read the next book in the series just because they are that good.

So ALL the love, passion, and romance you craved in book one...happens in book two. Lots of twists and surprises in this book and it was soooooo good. Love the direction the characters are going. The book ends on a devestating cliff hanger!! so prepare yourself.

I have been a total fan of Ms. Dawn since a complete fluke happened a while ago and I found King Hall and fell in love with it! I seriously couldn’t get enough of the book and I was so glad to start reading this one because I had such high hopes for it, and I can say that I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest when I finished this book. Ok that’s a fib, I can’t believe she did this to us! Why the cliffhanger Ms. Dawn?!?!?!? But besides that, I do have to say that you do need to read book 1 in the series, King Hall, to be able to fully understand this book because there is just so much action and details that you will miss by not reading it. I was so glad with how things played out in this book though because some of the unanswered questions that we were left with after book 1, were answered in this book. But on the same hand, we are left with a bunch more. I did enjoy being able to watch as the characters grew more in this book and were able to come into their own throughout the book. The different strengths that each of them had were expanded upon and matured in their own sense. Overall, I really enjoyed this book so much that I can’t wait for book 3 to be released because it was that amazing! Ms. Dawn has a fan for life! I thought King Cave was even better than the first book, which is very rare, indeed.

Didn't think it could get any better? IT DID!! Still love the characters and they do learn some things. It didn't have as much to do with the four being a group unlike the first one because we don't see a lot of Jack and Pearl but I think the characters develope more and I hope to see a little bit of Ezra, Pearl, and Jack's povs, but if not it will still be good:) It felt like the next book and though Lily is still ignorent of some of the Mys (mainly because she fell asleep in class) it introduced fact to Lily and the reader in a natural way. Loved It!! *DO NOT READ IF UNDER 18* Has more of that adult feel then the first but not a porno!!

Review Source: NetGalley King Cave is the sequel to King Hall, my first introduction to the New Adult genre. I loved King Hall so much, I was very happy to see King Cave had just released and available to buy because I couldn't wait for my NetGalley approval to go through so I could read it. So, yes. I clicked buy on Amazon and began reading. Lol. I'm an immediate gratification kind of girl. The story begins where King Hall left us stranded. So wasn't liking that. We're re-introduced to our quartet of royalty: Lily, the Shifter Queen, Ezra, the Vampire King, Pearl, the Mage Queen, and Jack, the Elemental King.  We also meet the wide cast of "elders" guiding them. War has broken out and the four must move into a new transition in their lives and embrace new responsibilities. The characters and the writing shifts into a more adult mindset. Their problems and actions are no longer the musing of adolescent royals in training. They take on the responsibility of taking care of their perspective subject while still trying to maintain their friendships and the growing physical and emotional relationships amongst Lily and Ezra and Pearl and Jack. The action is fast paced. I love that Lily and Ezra finally are together. Their love is steeped in friendship but still volatile throughout the book. Lily continues to grow in her confidence and her power. I truly enjoy her transformation into a strong female. I still love the dynamics amongst the four rulers. They continue to prove their connectedness is relevant and brings value to their positions as rulers.  I continue to enjoy this series and eagerly await the next book.

I want to read the next book so bad it isn’t funny!  I’m going nutso here.  It’s not fair!  I can’t sit still and simultaneously can’t decide between writing down my review and flipping out.  My emotions are definitely on a roller coaster right now… Okay… breathe…. Starting from the beginning.  I wasn’t overly satisfied with how the story began.  It began exactly where the first book left off.  Exactly.  For someone who read the first book quite a few months ago, I was a little fuzzy, a little lost.  It took me a while to get into it because I didn’t feel like the author took enough time immersing the reader into the story.  It’s definitely not stand alone as far as I’m concerned.  For best results, read the first book, King Hall, immediately before. However, the beginning was very fast-paced, driven. Like with the first book, there was about a million places where I burst out laughing or wrote notes saying, “I loved that!”  It’s more serious that the first book, more emotionally wrenching, but still funny… a lot. There were a lot of things I flat out expected, and cheered uproariously.  Other things took me by surprise, making me want to scream and roar, “No!”   The only other thing I would fuss at was her claiming that a hundred wolves came to Lily’s call (she’s a wolf shifter) in about a minute.  This pulled me out of the story for a second, because she wasn’t exaggerating.  Wolves are territorial (yes, I did a massive paper of wolf behavior in college and I still remember most of those details).  There would never be that many wolves in a single territory.  A half dozen, mostly pups, would be expected in an area with wolves.  A dozen would be pushing it.  I would be surprised if you found a hundred wolves in the entire state of Washington (where the scene was). The book is definitely a roller coaster ride, and well worth the read.  I so badly want to read the next book, it’s not even funny.  I can’t remember the last time I wanted to read a book so badly, and I know it’s going to be a long, long time before I can read it.  Arg!

OMG.... Ezra Ezra Ezra.... Can I say that I'm so excited about the way things ended this book so I may relive the intensity of Ezra! I swear he's my new book boyfriend. I love this story line and the friendships between the "races." This book is well done and Scarlett Dawn just made top 5 of my favorite authors. I don't think she could of done anything differently than what she did here. My heart hurts for all of them but like I said bring it. The conversation between Lily and Ezra is so real that I felt like I was talking to by Best Friend. I stayed up until 4 a.m. reading this book and when I finished I reread certain parts just to smile. I can't wait for the third!

King Cave Review  I stumbled across King Hall on a Facebook page and fell in love with the series. I was extremely excited when I finally got to read King Cave. I found I enjoyed it better than the first book. Scarlett Dawn gets your attention from the start and holds you right up until the very end of the books. You never really know what's going to happen or what Lily and Ezra will be doing and what trouble they will causing. Jack, Pearl, Ezra, and Lily are such well written characters that you find yourself feeling the whole range of emotions that you find through the whole story. The twists keep things interesting and you don’t see most of them coming. I hate that these main characters have suffered through so much pain and loss. At the end of the book I was so heartbroken. I'm usually one who can read a book and when I'm finished start on another one, but King Cave really stuck with me. I really hated the way it ended. It was so depressing. It left me feeling sad. Thankfully it wasn't the last book in the series.  I have enjoyed these books so much even though King Cave ended the way it did that I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out. I know that I will be buying the next book the day it comes out and no matter what other book I am reading I will stop that one and read the next book in the series just because they are that good. Scarlett Dawn has done an excellent job with this series. I highly recommend King Hall and King Cave.

Great story with lots of twists and turns. Lily is back and kickass as ever. She has a lot to figure out and deal with alongside her closest friends and the other prodigies. Ezra is his usual badass self but figures out a few things. Pearl, still love her. Jack might just be my fave. Poor Antonio and Cahill. There a lot of people you learn more about. More laughs, action, this time some real romance, and some real downs. I can't wait to see where the last book takes us.

King Cave rocked my world. It is a rare and spectacular read when a book sticks with me long after I'm done. Scarlett Dawn's writing had me pondering the what ifs and maybes long after I was finished reading. It did start slowly but the pace quickly picked up and I was utterly memorized by Lily's love, life, friends and plight. Drove to tears, laughed out loud and felt my heart clench with the tensions, King Cave is going down as a favorite read. OMG, the ending had me reeling...literally blew me away...all I can say is please write fast because you left me craving, starving for more... I received this ARC copy of King Cave from Harlequin Enterprises Australia - Escape Publishing in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication January 1, 2014.

In a word...AhMazing!  Scarlett has done a fabulous job of creating this world that literally pulls us in, refusing to let go.  I. Could. Not. Put. This. Book. Down. She brought me to tears laughing so hard over & over. Absolutely hilarious, super intense, full of action, & will have your weak in the knees.  I must have more! Book 3 can't get here fast enough!

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This story picks up right where King Hall left off.  The Mystical’s are in the middle of a fight with the Com’s.  Lily, Ezra, Jack, and Pearl use their powers to get as many Mystical’s as possible to the refuge of King Cave.  While Jack and Pearl deal with their overwhelming grief at losing their mates, Lily and Ezra’s friendship grows into more.  However, someone is conspiring against the young Prodigy’s, and they get quite a few shocks throughout their time at King Cave.   I absolutely love this series.  I love that all paranormal species/types are included in this series.  You have shifters, vampires, mages, elementals, and so many more.  I love the characters of Lily, Ezra, Jack, and Pearl.  I enjoyed the new characters that were introduced in this book.  The Elders had a few quirks that I found hilarious.  This book really tugged at my heartstrings.  I found myself wanting to cry and throw my Kindle at certain points.  Ezra and Lily are so stubborn and set in their ways that there were times I just wanted to smack them upside the heads.  I found myself laughing at the way Pearl dealt with her grief over losing her mate while at the same time wanting to cry over her loss.  I was very frustrated at the way the book ended and am anxiously awaiting the next book.  I love a good HEA and really want to see these characters get the happiness they deserve.  This book was well written and very easy to read.  I recommend this book and King Hall to all those that love a great paranormal romance series.

I have waited so long for this book to come out. I kept looking for it, waiting so impatiently, hoping each day that there would be an update as to when I could get my hands on it. And my wonderful, favorite author Scarlett did not disappoint me!!  This book is the second installment to the Forever Evermore trilogy.  In the last book, we were left with a war between the commoners and the Mysticals. This book opens right up where the last book left off; in the room with Lily, Ezra, Antonio, Ezra's mom, and a passed out Pearl and Jack. It is their mission to get Pearl, Jack, and the rest of the Mysticals they can save to safety; to King Cave. King Cave was a myth. A story told by Antonio that Lily didn't really believe was true. Until she sees it for herself. As she travels to King Cave with the Mysticals she was able to save, she begins to wonder if she was really the chosen person for this job. What she doesn't know is what is in store for her. There is a little bit of drag to the good part. The part I have been waiting for. The part that I was begging Scarlett in King Hall to "get on with it!!". Oh, she did not disappoint me!!! Ezra and Lily are so raw and steamy I could barely contain myself!! Holy Crap!!! I knew it was going to be good but I didn't know it was going to be that good!! There is so much going on between the two in the beginning of this book that you don't know the story from the hole in your butt! You hate him, and then you love him, and then you hate him!! I swear you are transported to King Cave and are in Lily's body and all you want to do is throw something at him!! LOL But, Ezra does not disappoint us either. He has a few tricks up his sleeve and the truth comes out. And when it does, you WILL be FLOORED!! I could not believe what happens between the two of them. And it's only half way through the book. I thought, "Holy Crap!! What else is going to happen??!!" After the middle of the book's emotional turmoil, things begin to pick up with the war and the relationships between everyone. But the calm waters don't last long as a terrible secret comes out that stops everyone in their tracks and threatens to break the whole group up. Not only between Lily and Ezra, but between Jack and Pearl!! There comes a lull when all four of them are sent to find their prodigies, but something amazing, but very wrong happens that turns out to save their asses later in the story.  The end is going to kill you. It is going to rip out your heart, twist it around, shove it back down your throat, and then crack you in the chest to get it starting again. I can't believe you did this to me Scarlett!! I was in tears!! I couldn't sleep for two days!! Then the cliffhanger on top of that!!?? WHY!!!??? I kept screaming at my Nook, "COME ON LILY!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!"  This story is so fantastic I can't even give it 5 stars. It isn't enough. There aren't enough stars in the sky to give this book. I can not tell you enough in this small space how much I LOVED this book. I love this series through and through. Scarlett is seamless with her delivery of the story. She doesn't miss a beat and no author can leave you in the kind of suspense as she can. You are magnificent Scarlett and I CAN'T wait for book # 3; the final one in this trilogy.  Infinite Stars!!!!
