    Goldenstripe

Goldenstripe waited anxiously for Lilywolf to return, wondering if somehow she remembered now. He eventually felt her heart beat again and his gaze met with a pair of blue eyes that recognized him. "Lilywolf! Lilywolf! Lilywolf! My lovely Lilywolf is back!" he cried, all the happiness he had before returning all at once, "It's okay, we're here now, your back now! I love you! I love you so much!" Goldenstripe covered her in soft kisses and burried his muzzle in her fur. He was too happy to sleep, so while Lilywolf did, he gently groomed her tabby pelt, purring deeply and curling his tail with hers. ~Goldenstripe (Shorter than I originally planned, third time trying to post!)

    Icefire

Icefire peeked through the leaves of a tree, nodding with approval. She smiled and curled up in a tiny hollow of a tree to sleep. She was glad Lilywolf was back and hoped they could be friends again. (Sorry if I was intruding, Goldenstripe and Lilywolf.)

    Lilywolf to Goldenstripe

Lily's eyes widen at the kiss and they flicker briefly. Something snap's inside of her and suddenly what had been shrouded in mist becomes clear. A memory... small and fuzzy... but there. A moonlit clearing where a golden tom asked her to be his mate and their first kiss... As her eyes close, she kisses back stronger, passionately. There is a desperation but also triumph in the kiss. The tabby uses what strength she has left to kiss Goldenstripe with all the love she has. Ice blue eyes open briefly but there is something different about them, something... familiar. "Goldenstripe... you did it... and you'll never lose me..." Lilywolf smiles softly through the pain and then her chest fails to rise again. Darkness enfolds her as she is swept away to a starry clearing. She opens her eyes to find herself surrounded by starry cats. Braveheart, Fawnstep, Whitefoot, Cloudheart, Tigerleaf, Maplejay, Owlfeather, Heathershine, Swanflight, Snowfire, Limecreek, Stonemist, Mistykit... her family... Her eyes cloud as she spots Snapdragon ad Poppydawn. They wave their tails to her and she has to resist rushing to her kits. Sunnystar approaches her. Lilywolf smiles and touches noses with her old friend. But her smile turns into a frown as she realizes... "Another one?" She murmers sadly. Sunnystar nods. A thin outline of a tabby shecat appears beside her. Lilywolf sighs and nods her head. Sunnystar brushes her shoulder and meows, "Welcome back Lilywolf." The clearing of starry cats say the same and she looks up at them. "Thank you." She meows in relief. "I was trapped... couldn't get free... did you free me?" Braveheart chuckles. "No Lilywolf. It seems the golden sun not only can change your heart, but your mind as well." Understanding washes over Lilywolf and she whips around. "Goldenstripe! I must get back to him!" Sunnystar purrs and nods. "Yes go to him but tred with care. We will be watching over both of you." Lilywolf nods and calls, "I love you all!" Then she vanishes as she fades from the sky and falls back into her body. Her heart starts again, now free from the copperhead's deadly venom and she opens hazey eyes. Goldenstripe is the first thing she sees. A small purr vibrates her body. "Goldestripe, my love..." She whispers. "I didn't think it was possible... but you brought me back!" The tabby scrambles to sit up slightly and she kisses the golden tom. Tears stream from her cheeks and sobs of joy wrack her body. "It was... horrible... I gave up..." She murmers. "I was still always there but powerless, trapped. I'm so sorry. I DO love you. Never forget." Lilywolf leans against her love as memory upon memory swamps her. What was once only fog becomes crystal clear images. Warrior, deputy, leader, kits, friends, love.... A blissful sigh escapes her as the last of the precious gifts aligns inside her. She was back. Goldenstripe had brought her back. Thoughts swarm her mind. The clan, her kits, her friends... they had all been through so much. She had watched helplessly as her former self wrecked havoic on her loved ones. Lilywolf wants to race to them, tell them how much she cares... but the venom has exhausted her and she slumps against her mate. Still in shock at her return, the shecat licks his cheek. "Thank you..." She whispers. "I love you more than you'll ever know and in the morning... I'll make everything perfect." The cloud of exhaustion takes her just as she meows, "I love you Goldenstripe." ~ Lilywolf &hearts
