One of the Hottest Rap Efforts of the Year

I haven't always been the biggest rap fan. I mean, I've always loved all forms of musical expression, save for country and techno, but rap was always iffy due to the questionable lyrical content. However, recently I've decided to expand my horizons a little, purchasing T.I.'s, Busta's and Common's latest efforts, and burning Juelz Santana's and Kanye West's. I was surprised when I realized that I was feelin this CD. Every beat was hot, borrowing rock and R&B elements on a few, and T.I's flow has the typical southern-rapper sound, but with a better delivery than most. Though rap music is losing points with me for originality and substance, and this CD does show evidence of this ("I'm Straight", "I Told You So", and "Bankhead" were songs that T.I. could have done without on this album), this CD is pretty consistent, with plenty of head-noddin' capabilities. Best tracks: "Front Back", "Ride Wit You", "Stand Up Guy", "You Know Who", "Good Life", and "Hello", as well as the two most familiar singles, "What You Know" and "Why You Wanna".

    Could Have Been Better

This CD could have been better. I'm not sure if you know that the CD was leaked on the internet. I was provided a chance to listen to it and I have to say I'd rather listen to it than the retail. It was the real "TIP"! I think that due to the leak producers were forced to go with 2nd best songs to rebound from the leak. Overall, a good CD, but definitely could have been better.

    The King reigns once again!

TI has dont it again, personally I think that KING is one of the best albums of 2005! The collabo with UGK is the best collabo since Kanye West & Jamie Foxx. I can't wait until the next TI album.

    So disappointed

From the last two albums I listened to from this artist, it sounded like he was growing as an artist and maturing. But on this album, I hear songs about burying people, shooting people, once again bragging about going to jail (I don't know who's worse...50 Cent bragging about getting shot or this dude for going to jail)...and then the all-time worst song "I'm Straight" where T.I. sings "Give me some cocaine...and I'm straaaaaaaaaaight." What the hell? This cd is terrible. This is one of the most simple-minded albums I've ever heard...and coming from a cat that I thought was a pretty intelligent guy but made the wrong choices, I'm EXTREMELY disappointed. Hip-Hop is going down the drain. I wonder how much Common had to be paid to get on this trash. The only good parts were "Why You Wanna" with Mike Epps and some lady who were having the most hilarious break up. "Why You Wanna" was cool. His delivery on "Stand Up Guy" was commendable...but the rest of this album...WACK!

    One of his finest CDs.

The most amazing CD put out by T.I. to date. Has any kind of song that you are looking for. The slow song "Live in the Sky" to the hype song "Stand up Guy" all the way to the hard tracks like "Top Back" and "Bankhead." With this CD, T.I. definetly solidifies his position as KING.

    Da King's Back!

He did it again! Not only representin the A ,but for all those who don't know the Westside, Zones 1 thru 4! Every ballad is put toghether very nicely and lyrically he sounds a lot more mature than Urban Legend and touches on a little more. Bringing UGK was I think the best touch paying respect for those who laid it down before him. I think there's not one track that I don't like! I listen to it all the way thru and there's not many albums I can do that to!

    Dis C.D. is fire

Yo for real I didn't think he could get any better than Urban Legen but he did. I love this c.d. from beging to the end. My favorite tracks are number 4,8,10,11,14,and 18. He could put every one of those hits out.
