This series is absolutely wonderful. I first read Karen Miller's Godspeaker trilogy years ago, and have loved her work ever since. The Innocent Mage/The Awakened Mage are quite the read! Very much looking forward to the next books. I would suggest this to all fantasy lovers. Karen Miller seems to stick here to what seems to be her minimal romance rule- there is one, but it is only lightly touched upon, and is not the focus of this series.

These books are slow to get through but that doesn't stop it from being a good read. I would have liked it more if they put you in more action but the books set you up to see things as they should be. I recommend this to people who love High Fantasy genre because if they aren't interseted in that type of book then they would get bored with it. Anyways I also recommend that you read Blight of the Mages too because it answers questions that you had reading these two books.

Well writtenbook. The characters are interesting as is the dilemmas facing them. My only complaint is hat the ending is too short! But that has't stopped me from reading this series over and over again. The follow up series was less interesting to me, but I highly reccommend this book!

The characters are boring. The story takes way to long to develop. A literal cliffhanger left at the end of the first book which wasn't even thrilling yet was the most excitement of the book. This series is a yawnfest and a waste of your time.

I could not get into this book. Did not make it even to the end of the sample. The writing is dry and did not catch my interest.

Long. To the point where i got a little tired of the characters. Best for a YA audience perhaps.
