Chapter One

I give my heart to a woman who is kind and tender beyond bounds, who finds it possible to love me, no matter what mood I am in. If I am grumpy she knows how to get me smiling and laughing

Through the storms and deserts of life, I find myself at times traveling through, she has encouraged and supported me there. As she walks by my side, she has given me a bright light for the future when it seemed so dark and gloomy!

When it seems I can find no friends to help in my time of need or distress, she taps me on the shoulder and smiles and gives me a hand when it means and is needed the most, there are times when a smile from her is far better than riches or roses.

She is willing to be herself when it is just her and I, and that is a beautiful thing, for every time we are either together or apart, she amazes me and holds me in awe of something she has said or done. Though no one is perfect, she makes me think she is close to it

In those times, I feel alone and down, just the simple thought of her brings a smile to me, and my heart starts to beat faster and stronger! She causes me to feel like I can walk on air and fly with an ease so great that it blows my mind. To hear her laugh is a high that will not harm me for it is right

God had beauty in mind when he made her, for her beauty is beyond the outside and goes straight to her heart, Her kindness knows no bounds, no price is to high for it. Gold is worthless compared to it. I am of the opinion that all roses and beautiful flowers would wilt without her here

my world with out her seemed so cold and lifeless then she came along and spread some sun shine and life in to it! She has taught me how to be braver than I ever thought I could be before, and nobler beyond words! She has taught me the meaning of honor.

But through these few poems I have no other way to express what she means to me, for I could all the roses in the world and yet I think it would not be enough to show how I feel about her. To say that she means everything to me seems so much like an understatement it is not funny!

I give my heart to you

Love

Love is something that reaches deep inside you, it goes further than attraction, or even human emotion it gives you the strength to be who you truly are.

Love causes you to become more focused on your mate. You find you are willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy. When they smile because of something you have said or done, your heart races faster and you grin with out and with in! Nothing can beat showing and speaking your love

As if that was not enough, when you are separated you feel like apart of you is missing, and others around you can tell without even asking, they can see it in your eyes.

It can cause strong men to become weak, and weak men become strong. The coward becomes the brave of heart fighting to defend the one he loves. Seeking no reward but that of there own heart. Knowing there is someone who loves them and willing to share their heart and world with!

Love has been known to cause the blind to see and the deaf to hear, and see what they are worth that is so bright to them. It causes them to grin. The deaf hear a melody in there heart that puts that extra spring in there step as they walk down the street.

It can give hope to the hopeless and can shed light in the darkest of places. Those who are tiered and weak find the will to go on there journey through life!

Those who simple words can make a proud man humble, a poor man feel worth more than Donald Trump, or Warren Buffet. Those who are bound by woes and sorrow find a sense of peace and lightness in those words with the knowledge they were meant.

I am hooked

I am an addict and it's wonderful! It is not a drug or alcohol nor is it illegal. Of that I am glad, for she has helped me through a lot', and has been there for me when I have need a friend to talk to, and helped get me through life.

When I have felt down or blue, she has given me a high that is better than drugs cause it helps me carry on with a smile on my face. When I feel weak and am just about to collapse and give up, she gives me the strength to stay standing and go on.

Even when the storm clouds roll in and the waves come crashing down, with her there, I have a calm and peace that does not allow me to fear the storm. She is far better than any drug because she does not leave any painful reminders of a life filled with regret and shame.

This narcotic, which is not a drug, is given to me through her kisses or her smile the side effects are wonderful. Strength to get through the trials of the day with a smile that just does not know when to quit and a spring that causes me to jump right off the earth in to space!

Her memory is a potent thing. With just one thought of her, my head gets light and I am able to see things in a different perspective and light. The colors are brighter and the sounds around me are much clearer and full of life, The problems just melt away before me like wax

This woman can cause my heart to beat so fast and strong, I swear it is ready to rip through my chest. Yet it feels wonderful and I cannot help it but to smile at the moment it happens cause I know it is right and that it will not harm me rather it will help!

When she laughs, I feel higher than a kite. It seems like I am so light I can fly. I wander if I can make it until the next fix. At other times when she touches me, I feel as strong as Superman, like I am able to leap tall buildings, am faster than a locomotive and able to take a bullet.

When our hearts get together they make the most beautiful music, though we both cannot carry a tune in a bucket. When they are apart from each other, they sing a sad, miserable tune, no matter how far away we may be.

I do not know if there is a cure for her, but I pray not for even if there was I would not want it! she is my angel here on earth, perfect, maybe not, but she is to me. I am on a high with her love and I do not want to come down

By your side

This ring on my finger represents the commitment I have made to you. Like the shape, it is continuous. I have committed to stand by your side, hand in hand. When times get rough, by your side I still will be, to defend you against harm. When others try to tear you down, I will be there to defend and lift you

Loving you no matter what, even when we do not see eye to eye or when you are grumpy and grouchy. I will catch you when you fall. When you slip, I will be by your side to catch you and help you back up. I also promise to take care of you, to put you first before my own wants, wishes, desires and needs.

I promise to be your guide when life has you confused and you do not know which way to go on life's path. When clouds darken your sky, and you feel alone and cold, I will be by your side to warm and comfort you! I also promise to be the strength you need for the day to face the trials that are found there and that you fight.

I promise to to try to be the joy in your heart, the cause of smiles at the oddest of times and the pep in you. This ring also represents the promise to always do my best, if for no one else, for you as you deserve the best. I also swear to be there if you need a shoulder to lean on, to shed thousands of tears and weep on until you can no more.

It also represents a promise that I will always be the one to make you feel loved and special for you are! This ring on my finger represents a promise that I will be by your side, even if you are bed ridden and can't remember me. I also promise that I will be the courage you need to go forward in life with out fear or dread of no support.

What this ring represents is our love

Be there for you

When the rain comes down so hard it hurts and the tears begin to flow and it seems nothing is going right, and you think it never will, you can count on this one thing I will be there for you.

In the battle fierce, when you cannot hold up shield and sward and the enemy is advancing upon you, I will come in and defend you. In the desert, there will be moments when you will be thirsty, I will be be giving you a drink of love and honor, and cherishing you for your substance.

As the winds blow, the waves crash and the thunder rumbles, fear not, for I am there with you, saying be of good courage and hang in there. During the times you want to quit and give up, take heart, for I am there to support you.

At times the load you must bear will seem too heavy go any further with alone, You will not have to take another step, for I will be under there, bearing it with you. Sometimes, you will think you are worthless and no good, yet by your side I will stand, saying you are the most important person to me and worth more than all the gold in the world!

While climbing the mountainside sometimes you will slip and fall. I will be there to help you up and get to the top. In the valleys low and dark, and you seem not be able to find your way out, do not panic, for I will be by your side trying to guide you.

There will be times when all you need is a shoulder to cry on or ears to listen to you, and a shoulder broad enough and strong enough to bear your sorrows and woes!

Memories can be a sweet part of life yet they also can hurt. When you miss the one you are thinking of and it hits you that they are really gone, come to me and I will cry with you. Share your joys and I will smile with you.

Here is what I am saying in the good and the bad, I will be by your side no matter what! The strongest winds can blow and the most painful of memories can come together we will conquer them!

My friend and confidant

To a friend who is so true to me it totally amazes me by simply being there for and supporting me. When others have laughed at me, scoffed at me or have doubted, You have believed in me

When the world around me turns bitter, cold and unforgiving you come and show me love, forgiveness and the warmth of understanding. When the path I walk is filled with pits boulders and obstacles you come along and help.

In the midst of the strong gales pounding waves and crashing thunder, I will not fear for you are there as my guide to help me through. There will be times I will have to travel through the valley dark, I hope the light burning bright is you.

To a confidant who knows my every need or want with out me saying a word to you when I have doubted myself, you came along encouraging and strengthening me by telling me that if I try, I can achieve the goals I have set my life.

The soul mate I find in you. How is it I can ever forget you? You have always known my heart and when it is down and sad, happy and gleeful, you share in the joy in my soul. And yet, the heaviness of my heart, you have felt in the darkest hour.

You are these and so much more to me and for that I am glad God blessed me with you in my life! Thank you for being all I need. Just being you is what I needed.

Take my hand

Take my hand and I will take you to a place where the cares and woes of this world are more bearable, and in this place you and I revel in the warmth of love's glow!

In this place, we face the day hand in hand fighting together and wining, sharing the victory with each other and expressing our joy in the other as the day ends and the sun sets low.

This land is not of ease and comfort but together we share the burdens of that day, bearing the others sorrows on our shoulders as we go on our way through the day sharing what we know.

Smiling and laughing with each step because of the love that we share also because we know, for each other, we do think of and that is why we are here to others our love show

When the path we walk becomes cold and chilling and no one else cares, I know there will be no fear in either of our hearts for we both will be kept warm by the love we share

Heartache will come in our path and the love we have will be tried. I believe that we will make it because of the adoration we share for each other.

Take my heart

Take my heart, it is yours to treasure and hold if you so choose for I am completely devoted to you. I cannot think of anybody else I would rather spend the rest of my life with you, watching sunsets as we walk hand in hand.

You have given me so much that I cannot even hope to be able to pay you back for the acts of kindness. In the times I have faced heartache, you have been there to comfort and console me. I can only hope that you can say the same of me that when you are weak and that you will be able to rely on me to be there for you,

My life seems much sweeter with you in it. You are so good for me that others can see that. My prayer is that I am as good for you as you are for me, that I bring as much joy to your life as you have mine! For I cannot bear to think that I have let you down

My prayer to God is that he will show me how to love you as he loves us, and that I will put you first in my life. I also pray that he will give me the strength to be there in your darkest hour and greatest time of need, helping comforting and bringing you the healing balm of Gilead.

I have no gold or great riches to offer you ,no land or grand mansion, high up on a hill. All I have to offer you is my heart and the promise that I will do everything I can to take care ,love and honor you. No string of pearls or gowns of silk, which you so much deserve.

You deserve so much more than riches and treasure. What you deserve is someone who will honor you, who will be able to give you your heart's desire, Yet for some reason you have chosen me, and that humbles me to the point that I will do all in my power to take care, honor and love you with all I have!

Loving you forever is not hard at all. It seems to get easier every day that I spend with you! It seems to me that each moment with you goes by with out a single problem in the sky, though I know there are problems. You just seem to give me a sense of peace that gives me the ability to deal with them.

What I am trying to say is take my heart, I trust you

There is a woman

There is a women who has my heart, I can not say she has stolen it for I gave it to her from the very start. The way she has loved me and treated me so kind just blows me away!

The kind words of encouragement, the smiles she flashes when it seems nothing is going right gives me the sense that everything will work out the way it should. Just when I am about to give up, she says "Don't. You can do it, I know it!"

At times, I feel worthless and like a lowly pauper. With her around I feel like a king who has found the greatest treasure ever possible, or like a man who has been in the desert come across a cold refreshing spring just when he thought he would not survive.

I believe her to be both a blessing and an angel, for I feel blessed to have her by my side. The way she watches over me reminds me of an angel, without her in my life it would be dull because she likes to to mix things up and turns it in to something different.

She is strong and proud yet humble and kind, she keeps my mind sharp, by being different everyday in a good way. I have noticed the way she sacrifices just amazes me and her love is visible that is obvious.

When I close my eyes and think of her I can see the future, she and I walking hand in hand, through the park despite our elderly age. We smile at each other like two young kids in love. And people stare as we go by, we pay them no mind though.

My heart does not beat by its own rhythm or time, for it has another to beat with and it feels like it is total bliss. With my life, I will love her with all my best. I can only hope one day to give her the type of life she deserves to live.

You are the woman

Thou art Fair

Thou art fair my love. Thy smile chases the clouds of despair away and warms my soul better than the sun! Thy eyes, when they are full of the love that is in your heart, twinkle so much that the stars in the heavens are jealous of there brightness

I wander the streets and markets, seeking thee as roes seek water, as the hind desires the tender leaf, so do I desire thee. Your love is sweeter than frankincense or myrrh. Cinnamon sours in comparison to thee! I cry thy name at the gates of Jerusalem, and amongst thy kindred the entire night long, do I seek thee and rest not till I found thou!

Thy teeth are shore as sheep's wool. Thou art fairer than all the the daughters of Jerusalem. The kings desire thee in their courts and the princesses in their secret places for thou art more highly treasured than gold, rubies, or sapphires. Thou are the envy of the queens and the princesses for thou art fair.

Thy name flows over my lips as smooth as silk, and as fine as sateen, The sight of you causes my heart to skip a beat and a smile crosses my lips. Thy heart causes mine to sing a song unto thee, thou art my love and my joy. My heart rejoices at thee.

The most treasured and beautiful flowers become useless ugly things when compared to the kindness thou hast shown me. When thou laugh, it seems to give me a high unlike anything before. The passion thou hast inside ignites my soul on fire as the spark does catch wood on fire.

During the times I feel down and it just seems that things are going all but right when thou crossest my mind, it seems that things look up! In the middle of winter, when the world seems so cold, it is like summer when by your side I stand.

Since it has been that I have meet thee my life is being enjoyed by me a lot more and I cherish the moments we spend together, colors seem brighter, sounds more in tune, smells sharper and pure it, seems that thou art a gift from God for thou are what I need.

Thou all my needs has meet and have satisfied thou completes me and thou gives me a sense of being whole and true. I trust you with the only thing I have that is dear to me my heart, and life it is yours though you deserve more.
