A NEW, DARK FANTASY FROM NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER, MIMI JEAN PAMFILOFF

A USA TODAY BESTSELLER
“I am the man who can find anything or anyone. For a price. And my price is you.”

When Mia Turner’s brother goes missing in Mexico, while on an archaeological dig, she believes that life couldn’t get much worse. But when she’s blocked at every turn from finding answers, by both local and U.S. authorities, she must turn to a man she swears is the devil.

Others might be fooled by his private jet, fine tailored suits, and disarming smile, but Mia knows something dark, sinister, and unnatural lurks behind those penetrating, pale-gray eyes. And the more she learns, the more she realizes she may never be free again.

Editorial Reviews

Bookwormsanonymousmyfavoritethings Blogspot - Noel Wallace
"I give this book a 11 on a scale of one to 10. This book catches you right from the beginning and does not let go. I started this book only last night and stayed up way past my bed time reading, and it was the first thing I picked up this morning I could not put it down till it was done. I am only taking time out from book number two to write this review because everyone needs to now about this series."

"The writing was so suspenseful and well done that I couldn’t put it down, and the sexual tension and racing storyline more than made up for the lack of nudity. The characters were complex and a little bit snarky, and I couldn’t put the book down until I found out who or even what King was."
http://tjlovestoread.wordpress.com/2014/05/16/review-kings/ - TJ Lovestories
"King’s is everything it promised to be and more. It’s dark, mysterious and gritty with a touch of sensual and a dash of snarky humor that will prompt more questions than give answers and will leave you wanting more."

Meet the Author

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Because this 1st part of KING'S story turned out to be about 125,000 words (most of my full-length novels are around 85K), I broke the story into two parts. SO…readers are getting an EXTRA LONG book for $4.98 (KING'S is only $.99 and KING FOR A DAY IS $3.99). Also, I wanted my fans to be able to try out my new series without having to throw down $5. The $.99 for KING'S was a good way to do that. I hope you enjoy!! - MIMI JEAN

AUTHOR BIO:
When San Francisco native Mimi Jean went on an adventure as an exchange student to Mexico City, she never imagined the journey would lead to writing Romance. But one MBA, one sexy husband, and two rowdy kids later, Mimi would trade in 15 years of corporate life for vampires, deities, and snarky humor.

She continues to hope that her books will inspire a leather pants comeback (for men) and that she might make you laugh when you need it most.

She also enjoys interacting with her fans (especially if they’re batshit crazy). You can always find her chatting away on Facebook, Twitter, or saying many naughty words on her show, MAN CANDY, on Radioslot.com! See more at: www.mimijean.net

    Not a complete book

I am soooo sick of authors selling you only a part of a book! Of course this book ended with a cliffhanger and you have to buy the next book to get the rest of the story. And then im sure there will be a third book. On another note, the book tells a good story that now im going to have to buy the second book. I wish authors or barnes and noble would let buyers know its not a finished book!

Love this book. Mimi makes you invest in the characters, and makes you want for more. Nothing is ever what it appears on the surface. Can't wait for her to finish the final book in the series. King for a Day, the next book in the series just makes you wish she would write faster. A must read for anyone who loves her other series

This new series is starting out like all of Mimi's books....Incredible! I swear she enjoys making me crazy. :) She is so Cimil like. :)

She has me reeling, King is a man (perhaps) that people should be cautious of but yet there has to be more to him. I hope Mia can find out just what make King tick. The sub characters are intriguing, Mack...YUM!

I just purchased Ling For A Day and am anxious to get started reading that. I am a long time fan of Mimi's and she never disappoints me although she makes me nervous when reading her exciting, wild books. Loved it Mimi!!

Mimi is a fab writer. She can really weave a tale whether her story is quirky or mysterious. I can not wait to read what happens in the whole trilogy. Book one does not disappoint.

    Good Read

The book was not what I expected, writing was good, there were some slow places and then situations that you just knew no person would ever do. I haven't decided if I am going to purchase the second book, I wasn't left with that anticipation you usually get from reading a really good book.

    Do not waste your money.

The most rushed book I've ever read. 69 pages for 3.99? Ew. Anyway. The plot was horrible and the characters completly unrelatable. Since I spent so much money I had to finish it. I found myself rooting for one character, then the other. Then I was like, this girl is dumb. Boring, go by an ice cream instead of this book.

    Short and Hot

This is a novella. Let that be known. I know some people can get mad about that kind of thing but it doesn't really matter to me.

This is a well written story and like the other in its series, makes you want to read it from start to finish!

Mimi is a witty writer and brings her characters to life! Enjoy this story it's great for the 50 Shades folks but with a twist that you just might not see coming;).

Loved it! Like with her Accidentally series, Ms. Pamfiloff is all about cliffhangers. Reading the second book and am still trying to guess
just who King really is? Hmmmm.. a paranormal, supernatural of course, but which one? Hopefully, the 2nd book will shed some light.
    Here's to some great reading

    Great Series

I am definitely a fan of Mimi's writing. I love the snarky writing in the "Accidentally" series. The serious plot of King series is a very nice alternative for her. She really has the ability to pull in a very broad audience. King series is awesome. She has created interesting characters and describes awesome sceneries. (Makes me wonder if Mimi is a world traveler too). The plot makes you wonder how things could possibly play out. If you have never read anything by Mimi pick a book ANY book by her and you will be hooked...
Thank you Mimi for the hours of entertainment!

I saw this Book as a Daily Deal for $.99 and figured I'd give it a try. I really liked it. Enough that I went and purchased the second part right away. The only thing I did NOT like about this Book was Mia. And that wasn't until the second book really. So for this one, I give it 5 stars. Cannot wait for the 3rd to come out. I will definitely be getting it!

    Addicted

She is a great writer, all you have to do is try one book and you will be addicted as I am. She gets you hooked by page 5. Then you are up all night reading. Her series King is great. There's more twist and turns in the book, but she has a way of making it very understandable. I have already pre-ordered the next book in the series Accidentally. I hope that I can order the third book of King. This is hilarious and serious both of her book series are. They are nothing alike, and they are great. Mimi Jean thank you for the time that you have put into your books. Please keep writing. I would love to see one or both of the series made into a movie. Keep on writing.

    Highly recommend

This new trilogy by Mimi is great! It's a little different than the Accidentally Series but just as good. King is sexy and Mia - well I'll let you decide. If you like her other books you will like this one.

This book was a joyous surprise. The author has an interesting writing style. The story was inventive, intriguing and suspenseful. The only reason i did mot give this book five stars is because of the heroine, Mia. Mia plucked my last nerve with her ridiculous behavior. I was really hoping King would just give up on her. Oh well, i am off to read book two to see if Mia has come to her senses. However, this is a great book, well worth your time and money.
