Ok First of all after reading alot of hood books, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang does not measure up. It is not street enough and second of all, If u have read The Flint Saga with Malek and Halleigh, you would have read a real hood story. It is da best. Now back to kiss, made it to chapter two. While reading, the words seemed very familiar to me. Then it dawned on me, I had read those same words in the last Malek and Halleigh story (The Finale). VERBATIM. Other words were thrown it to throw the reader off. If you dont believe me, take ur copy of kiss kiss to any B&N and check out Flint book 7 The Finale, by Treasure Hernandez. Page 68 chapter 8, compare the words from kiss kiss starting on page 34 3rd paragraph. and on to chapter 2. This upset me because I love to read. And when I pay 15 bucks for a book, I dont won't to read the same words I just read in another book. These 2 authors have the same publishing company. All I want to know is who proof read these books and let it slide. Authors should have their own story and words. It makes me wonder..... Is Treasure Hernandez and Ashley & JaQuavis the same person? By the way I read a story in Girlz from da hood 4 by Ashley and it was very good.

Totally surprised at how the novel ended. Full of drama, twist, and turns. Kept me interested and wanting to read more from page 1.

Free has been away doing a three year bid in prison, but when he gets out things are not the same on the streets where his name once upon ring throughout. Free is in debt to the Russians and has six months to pay them back their money.
Six is the love of Free life and he would do anything to protect her as well as make her happy. Six feels the same way about Free and she goes the extra mile to help Free pay his debt to the Russians.
Britain is the man on the streets with long pockets these days. After several attempts at robbing other dope boys; Free comes up with a plan that involves Six that he is sure will get him the money he needs to pay the Russians off.
Six reluctantly agrees to date Britain; which is all a scheme to gain his trust and then rob him for the cash. Britain remember Six from their teenage days and has always had a crush on her. What happens when a woman is torn between the love of her life (Free) and a man that makes her fell like more than a hood chick? Read the story to find out if Free master plan of robbing Britain blows up in his face. At the end there are some twist and turn that will melt your heart. I really liked Free for Six, but I also like Britain for Six. You will have to read the story to see who she chose.
This is the first book I have read from Ashley & Jaquavis. It was a good read but I felt it started of slow. The book didn't capture my attention until around page forty. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was more than an urban fiction novel to me. When I finished the book it felt like I had just read an urban version of Romeo and Juliette...lol.

Ok so this was the most stupid and lamest hood story I have ever read. The ending was so lame I mean really was that thebest the author could come up with. They must have had writer's block or something. Bottom line I have read way better book. Story line was good but I feel it wasnt executed very well in this book. Was this review helpful?
