It's always been you
Actress Chloe O'Connor has become America's sweetheart, but back in little Christmas, Colorado, she's still remembered as a shy, awkward schoolgirl. And there's no one she dreads (and secretly wants) to see more than her high school crush, Easton McBride. Just one look from the former star quarterback and it's like she's instantly transformed from daytime drama queen to tongue-tied teenager. She's kissed Hollywood actors and famous cover models, so she can certainly play it cool while turning up the heat, right?

After an injury ended his military career, Easton McBride built a good life in the rugged countryside of his hometown. And the last thing he needs is his quiet solitude shattered by a high-maintenance temptress who isn't anything like the sweet Chloe he misses. While he enjoys the flirtation with this new bold and beautiful woman, he can't help but wonder whether a kiss could have the power to bring back the small-town girl he's grown to love.

This is the 6th book in the Christmas, Colorado series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and full understanding of characters and the series, I recommend reading these in order. Chloe and Easton have a complicated history. Everyone assumes she will be a screw up. Sometimes it is a self fulfilling prophecy. When she moves home after some trouble, she finds herself at odds with family and the community in general. Easton is trying hard not to like her. He has hated her for so long, that having new feelings for seems strange. Can they overcome the past and forgive? The heat that is building between them does not want to be ignored. This series is so much fun to read. This book had everything we enjoy about this small town. The story had me laughing, crying, and wishing I lived there. I cannot wait to read the next installment. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 Stars I can't believe I'm about to say this but of all the books I've read in this series, this is actually one of my favorites! That's saying a lot because at the end of the previous book, I did not think it was possible for Chloe to be redeemed but Ms. Mason did it and showed us a different side to her. Lots of humor, heart and emotion make KISS ME IN CHRISTMAS a delightful read. Chloe O'Connor may be a TV darling but in Christmas, Colorado she is considered to be a high maintenance drama queen and an airhead. In reality, her ditzy routine covers a very sweet, smart and caring woman afraid of rejection. Chloe acts with the best intentions but the results are almost always far from what she intends. A childhood plagued by sickness and high school awkwardness have made her very insecure and she masks this with the diva attitude and only one person can see beneath that facade: Easton McBride. Easton fondly remembers the quiet, kind and shy Chloe from high school that he enjoyed spending time with, but would prefer to stay away from the spoilt woman she has become. Unfortunately, this is not possible because Chloe needs someone to keep her in line and he's the only one that can do this. What starts out rocky becomes a very sweet and emotional journey of discovery for Chloe. With Easton's help, she lets the people of Christmas see the sweet and intelligent person underneath and finds herself enjoying a town that she couldn't wait to leave and falling in love with the one man that has always been there for her. I loved Easton for standing up for Chloe and was rooting for their HEA. Family drama, misunderstandings, small town shenanigans all add to the chaos of this story. It's hard to say a lot about this book without spoilers, but I think it's one everyone should experience firsthand. This story makes you feel a lot: anger, happiness, frustration, sadness, laughter tears, etc. but it's definitely worth reading. The entire series is a must-read and I can't wait for the next book. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

chloe o'conner is not well liked and when she is 'killed off' on the soap opera she starred in , she heads back to christmas, colorado. she is not well-liked there either, but she is about to change that with the help from a few friends. she will also find romance. the hows and whys, etc make a very heart-warming story for the reader's pleasure.

So sweet I just loved it. Great characters and I just love the series. The one thing I would have enjoyed more is the twins having more of a connection. Great book. Keep them coming!!!!!

Kiss Me in Christmas is the sixth book in Debbie Mason’s sweet Christmas in Colorado series. I strongly disliked Chloe, the heroine of this book, in the previous book in the Christmas series. I wasn’t sure how Mason was going to redeem her enough for me to believe in her HEA. For that reason alone I wanted to read it. Character is much more interesting with conflict. I’m glad that I gave Mason a chance. I believed in Chloe’s redemption and her HEA was well-worth it. Though she started out a little rocky, Chloe really did have everyone’s best interests at heart. In many ways the HEA was secondary to her figuring out who Chloe was and letting her true personality shine through. Though Easton helps with that, much she has to do on her own. By the end I was cheering for Chloe to succeed and win the man she’d loved since she was a kid. As always the high-jinx in Christmas make the story more interesting. The typical cast of characters makes an appearance and it is always fun to catch up with previous couples. If you haven’t started this series this book is actually a good place to start. It would give you an opportunity to see Chloe without the baggage of the previous book. If you read the one before and are a little wary, I suggest giving this one a try. Mason doesn’t disappoint and neither does Chloe. Copy received from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I was unsure about Chloe after meeting her in Snowbound at Christmas and to be honest, seeing just how Debbie Mason would bring her to a point that I actually could care about her for an entire book. An actress and a world-class multi-award winning drama queen, Chloe isn’t mean-spirited or spiteful toward others, she just doesn’t see them in her world. As a child, she was more awkward and shy, and while she hasn’t lost any of those insecurities, she buries them all behind a face of bravado and seeming diva-like actions that serve as her security blanket. Former star quarterback and BMOC Easton exchanged his life in Christmas for one in the military, but returned after an injury and has fallen back into the quiet and settled life he dreamed of as a child. Now, he remembers the quiet, kind and shy Chloe from high school, someone he always found intriguing. But now, spoilt, dramatic and high maintenance Chloe is so vastly different (and not in a good way) from the memories he has of her that steering clear is the best option. Mason used growth and a clear insight into Chloe, showing clearly just how insecure she really is, and how badly (although often good intentioned) her plans to make a move for Easton really are. Fortunately, Easton does not play into her diva act, and he does help her to find her inner self- the person she really is without the lights, camera, action. A bit of a back and forth for me: I felt more frustrated for Easton than he did for himself, seriously a passing pony cart would have been a solid option to run over Chloe in more than one instance. But, slowly but surely Mason brought me around, and while I never could say that I completely loved her, she did grow on me, keeping me intrigued throughout the story. What emerges is one who desperately needs to be loved and supported finally finds that support and security, allowing her to banish those childish feelings of not being enough. A wonderful story that shows the power of love and discovering who you really are can make all the difference. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

When I first met Chloe in Snowbound At Christmas, I didn't have a high opinion of her. Sure, by the end of the previous book she'd sort of redeemed herself but in my head she was still a spoilt celebrity who enjoyed acting like a drama queen. So when I started reading, I wasn't sure I'd ever feel any connection with Chloe - but Debbie Mason proved me so wrong! By the end of the book, I wanted to reach into the book and give Chloe a bear hug. I adored how the author managed to redeem Chloe in the eyes of the reader and to weave for her a beautiful and romantic story that left me with a silly smile on my face when I reached the last page. Chapter after chapter, I was pulled into the story and started really connecting with Chloe, looking beyond her diva persona to the woman who's lived all her life thinking she could die any time because of her heart condition. There is a huge character growth as far as Chloe is concerned: the woman who started as a spoilt, and very hypochondriac brat, turned into a way better version of herself, a version that I definitely liked. And all because of her White Knight, Easton. Easton is, well, is a McBride - and if you've read the previous books in the series you know what I mean. Tall, dark and handsome doesn't really do him justice. He's the very epitome of hero, the man every woman would be swooning over if he were real. I loved reading how things changed between them and how they went from enemies (at least as far as Easton was concerned) to sweethearts. I also particularly enjoyed the fact that, like in the previous books, this is a clean romance so all sexy scenes aren't included and are always behind locked doors. If you love clean small-town romance, you should definitely pick up a copy of this book . The book works as a standalone but I'm sure you'll want to read all the previous books too, once you've finished this. If you're a fan of the Christmas, Colorado series, Chloe and Easton's story won't disappoint you. ***I received a complimentary copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review***

his is my first Debbie Mason book and I really enjoyed it! This is the eighth book in a series! Eight! And even though I had no idea about some of the things that were mentioned in the book as I kept reading I was able to grasp a little bit of the past of these wonderful characters. In this book we have Chloe and Easton and it is pretty obvious from the get go that these two have a history, oh and what a history!!! So many things that they have gone through and most of them not very pleasant, that’s why when they meet again they aren’t the best of friends but one thing that they can’t deny is the amount of chemistry they have. Chloe is kind of a dive or maybe a full on DIVA, and even though we as readers can see that she means well sometimes things don’t always turn out like she wanted and it was at time funny and at time painful to see how she was treated by everyone in town, yes she is a bit misjudged but she also acts like she is really a DIVA and she doesn’t care, it takes someone special like Easton to realize that she is in pain and that in fact she does mean well even if her actions say otherwise. The book is so funny and romantic, I couldn’t stop reading and going back to investigate the past books, I’m definitely reading them and I can’t wait for the next one!!! So so excited!! I can’t believe I have to wait until June! But it will give me plenty of time to get caught up with the series.

I so loved this book. I could hardly out it down. I wasn't a huge fan of Chloe in Snowbound at Christmas, but I have to say I'm a huge fan of her after reading this book. I'm so glad she had her story told because we really get to see the true Chloe that she hides from everyone. She keeps a shield up for good reasons and gives off these over the top diva. I cracked up a lot while reading this. The antics when Chloe and Ty were hatching their plans. The humor was one of my favorite parts of this book. I really loved what Chloe did to Easton's cabin. That for set up what turned out to be a fantastic read. Not a fan of Easton at first, but I was quickly won over. It was awesome to see someone stand up for Chloe. I was super happy for Chloe in this one because her true self got to shine and she found her "one". Some fences were mended in this one which made the book even better. Over all it's a great book that I highly recommend reading.

I laughed, cried and loved every page of the book! Chloe is misunderstood by the people in Christmas, including her family. There were some times that I felt so bad for her because of the way they treated her. Easton realizes that underneath the diva attitude Chloe is still the sweet and caring girl he once knew. Unfortunately, things tend to go wrong whenever she tries to do something good which leads to both funny and emotional moments. I've enjoyed this series, but I think this might be my favorite. Of course, we have Jill and Sawyer's story next, and based on the preview at the end of this book, it looks like it will be just as entertaining. I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Kiss Me in Christmas is like a Hallmark card. Opening it up takes you back to a time of simplicity and memories. Some good, some bad but all unforgettable. I hope that was the feeling that Ms. Mason was going for because she got it in one. I received an ARC of Kiss Me in Christmas in exchange for an honest review. Chloe escaped her small town heartbreak to build a career that has soared beyond all her expectations. Regardless of her success, she still feels inadequate and lonely. Easton is the culmination of all Chloe's fantasies come to life but she still doesn't think she measures up. Easton has the same frame of mind in regards to Chloe but for different reasons. Debbie Mason is constantly writing stories that are full of lovable characters that keep readers warm all year round.

This was my first book in the series. After reading this one, I want to go back and read the others. I have perused some reviews and realized that I missed a lot of the backstory. Although, this book was still easy to read and follow without having to have read the previous books. I just feel like I missed out on some serious emotions connected to reading the entire series in relation to this book. I have had this book waiting for me to read it for some time, however I was holding off on reading it because I figured it would be a nice sweet read to help bring me down from all of the darker books I had on deck. Well, it brought be down... down... down... This book wasn't as sweet as I had thought it would be. My emotions took a nice little bumpy ride from start to finish. It's sweet, it's sad, it made me angry and happy. I really like this author's writing style. Her voice is very strong and profound. She writes with a purpose and doesn't mince her words. I loved that there weren't long drawn out parts where I just wanted her to get on with the rest of the book. I point this out because that tends to happen in some of the romances I read. That was not the case with this book. If I were recommending this book to someone, I would suggest reading the others first. It isn't necessary, but I think it would be beneficial to get to know the characters. Many are having stronger reactions to this story than I am because they were already invested in the characters.

While one might think of this as a typical romance story, it’s also the underlying messages that author Debbie Mason does an excellent job bringing to the surface. Throughout the story, Mason has her protagonist – Chloe O’Connor – dealing with shyness, health issues and family approval. She weaves these issues into the story in ways that readers can relate to. While on the surface Chloe appears superficial and a bit of an airhead, she’s really an intelligent, caring woman who’s afraid of being rejected. Sometimes her best intentions where her twin sister is concerned backfires, but she really doesn’t mean harm. The author has created the typical ‘white knight’ character in the form of Chloe’s high school crush, Easton McBride. But his armor is a bit dented by his own problems he must overcome. KISS ME IN CHRISTMAS is a light-hearted, feel-good story. It moves at a good pace with a few twists, turns and suspense, as well as lots of laughs. There’s a good mixture of romance and humor throughout the book. The surprises will keep you guessing as to what could possible happen next. The small town setting is impeccable for this story loaded with family ties and friendship. The quirky residents of the town add charm and enhance the story. While it might sound like a strange town to visit, Christmas is the perfect place for families to come together and lost loves to find their way home. FTC Full Disclosure – This book was sent to me by the publisher in hopes I would review it. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. The thoughts are completely my own and given honestly and freely.
