Overview

Talented fiddler Katie McCoy finds out that her band, Sterling, will join the very famous, extremely handsome Blake Jackson on his Country Summer Nights tour. Her career is taking off, but after dating too many guys who let her down, her love life is going nowhere.

Blake is America’s biggest country star, and he can date a different beautiful woman every night of the week. After years on the road, each woman starts to seem the same and none of them ever want more than the experience of dating a celebrity. In Katie, he finally finds a woman who is interested in who he is as a man, someone who loves him for his true self. Being on tour together is a bit like being in a relationship pressure cooker, and things get serious. Everything moves faster than outside in the real world. Theirs is a match made in music heaven, but in three short weeks, Katie’s band leaves the tour and she’ll be out of his arms.

Katie wants true love more than anything else, but her tour bus is heading back to Texas with or without her. Sterling’s new level of success means that her career must take top priority and any man she’s with will have to respect that. She’s done with guys who don’t take her career seriously, and Blake can’t leave his own tour. How can they stay together when their paths have them moving in opposite directions? Will they find a way to make it work or say goodbye?

In Kiss Me, Katie by Monica Tillery, Katie McCoy is the fiddler

In Kiss Me, Katie by Monica Tillery, Katie McCoy is the fiddler for the band Sterling. She has been with them for the past six years since she graduated from high school, and she is not only the fiddler, she also has written some of their songs and co-written others with band’s lead singer. Now her band has paid a lot of money, but they are hoping that being the opening band for the very famous Blake Jackson will bring them more fans and more work.

Blake Jackson has always concentrated on his music first and last. It has been his dream and his drive for a long time, now as he is at the top he wants to find the perfect woman to share everything with. But he wants a woman that will not only see the famous Blake Jackson or his money, he wants someone that will look at the real him that is behind the public persona.

When Blake sees Katie backstage looking out he finds himself oddly attracted to her. He always basically ignores the women unless they want an autograph, but now he is giving Katie a private tour of the area. When he finds out she is the fiddler for the opening band, he asks his assistant to plan an outing to a bar after the show with everyone.

But as Katie and Blake get closer emotionally, physically things will get though. Katie will not surrender her freedom easily, not her job as a fiddler nor her body to someone without a very obvious commitment first. And no matter how much time they spend together during the tour, once her band’s schedule with Blake is over, so will their relationship.

Blake has a lot to learn about relationships; one is that ultimatums are not something that should be used lightly, especially if they can end up breaking your heart. While Katie will have to learn that every relationship takes compromise, and not everything is just about how she wants things to be, for that is not realistic.

If you want to see what happens with Blake and Katie on their tour and how they find the way to compromise and resolve their issues, don’t miss Kiss Me, Katie by Monica Tillery.

Kiss Me Katie is the debut novel for author Monica Tillery.

Kiss Me Katie is the debut novel for author Monica Tillery.

It's the story about a girl whose whole life has been focussed on her band and their successes. When they get the opportunity to open for famous Country Music Star Blake Jackson she and her bandmates think this is the start of something big. It is - but not for the bad, more for Katie.

Katie meets Blake and is immediately struck by how down to earth he is and how he makes her feel special. Blake feels the same he sees something in Katie that he hasn't seen in a woman before. The fact that she is a talented musician appeals to him too.

As their romance progresses Katie feels torn between spending time with her Band or spending time with Blake.

This is a nicely written sweet romance. The first kiss had me sighing and the end scene was one out of fairy tales.

If your looking for a nice, easy read then this is the one for you.

I received a copy of this ARC for a fair and honest review.

What an enjoyable, sweet, feel-good read! As a fan of country music and a straight-up love story, this book captivated me. What young woman wouldn't dream of falling in love with Country's biggest superstar, when he's as handsome, talented and decent as Blake? And Katie? She's strong and determined without being abrasive. Their love story unfolds on the road, giving readers a fun look at the life of musicians on tour. What surprised me most about this book is its sense of innocence. No ridiculous baggage here. Just two good people, looking for the love of a lifetime and finding it when and where they least expect it.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at Kiss Me, Katie, Monica

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at Kiss Me, Katie, Monica Tillery’s debut novel. WOW! It was hard to believe this was her first published book. Tillery does an excellent job of establishing her characters. I had pictures in my mind almost immediately and it never wavered. I fell in love with Blake, the mega country legend, and Katie, a rising star, right away and found I was powering through the book just to make sure that everything would turn out ok. Let’s face it, who among us has dreamed of having a superstar falling in love with us. If you are looking for a fun Summer Sweet Romance to read, this is it

Here are the book deets: Katie's band is invited onto the summer

Here are the book deets: Katie's band is invited onto the summer tour for country superstar Blake Jackson. Fireworks ensue, especially after the show. bwahaha

Katie and Blake made me sigh so many times. Katie, from the first page, was a girl I could identify with. She's worked hard to get where she is with her career, and while she finds Blake all kinds of sexy, she's not willing to give up everything for him. And, there is Blake who is just yummy. Blake leaps off the page and demands attention (as our favorite heroes do) - he wants Katie and he's used to getting what he wants. Their dynamic as the book progressed was a roller coaster ride of fun.

Monica Tillery is a voice to watch. I'm a huge country music fan, and this book drew a tantalizing picture of what life on the road might be like...give Kiss Me, Katie a try and take a ride into happily ever after.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fabulous! From start to finish I had a blast with this book. And the ending – no spoiler here – but oooo yummy! This was a truly fun romp through the Country Music world, and Katie and Blake were perfect together and perfectly believable. Pure bliss. Any downside? Too short? Not a trilogy – yet? Ms. Tillery did a great job and should be applauded! Very well done!

First off, I have to say I can't believe this is the first book

First off, I have to say I can't believe this is the first book from this author. It is so well written and shows so much depth and emotion. I would have thought she wrote 100 books.

Katie McCoy's band, Sterling, finally gets their big break opening some shows for country music's biggest star, Blake Jackson. Life on the road is tough, but with a little help from a pro (Blake), Katie learns the ropes. Little did she know, an additional lesson from him would be in love. But, how do they make it work when he is on the road so much and her band is only playing with his for one part of his tour? Katie needs to make decisions about her future with her band or her future with Blake. Can they come to a mutual agreement and stay together or does she go back home with her band for their upcoming shows and recording their next album? I really loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance book.
