Overview

For millennia, the shape-shifting dragon warriors known as the Pyr have commanded the four elements and guarded the earth's treasures. But now the final reckoning between the Pyr, who count humans among the earth's treasures, and the Slayers, who would eradicate both humans and the Pyr who protect them, is about to begin.

Haunted by dreams of a lover who takes the form of a dragon, Eileen Grosvenor searches for the truth. She never expects to find a real dragon shape shifter, let alone one who awakens her passion and ignites memories of a forgotten past.

Erik Sorensson is focused on leading the Pyr against the Slayers when a powerful ancient relic reveals itself. Erik tries to retrieve it from Eileen's possession-and is shocked by a fury of passion. Her presence touches him in unexpected ways, reminding him of mistakes he's determined not to make again, and Erik is forced to make a choice-duty or love.

    I Also Recommend:

    Great Paranormal Romance Story

This is about the conflict between Pyr, dragons determined to protect humans, and Slayers, dragons that turned evil and want to kill humans and the Pyr. This book begins with the leader of the Pyr, Erik Sorensson, being chosen for a firestorm, the strong urge to mate with a human woman to create more dragons. There is also the Dragon Teeth, an ancient relic with the ability to provide more dragon warriors to whomever awakens them. So, Erik go on the hunt for the Dragon Teeth and to fullfil the firestorm.

Eileen Grosvenor is on vacation in England to research a story that has drawn her to it. While there, she gets a call from an old classmate to look at something strange. She is shown the Dragon Teeth, and after a break in that leaves her friend dead and the Dragon Teeth in her possession, Erik shows up to protect her and try to seduce her.

Together, Eileen learns that she is the reincarnation of Erik's previous mate, Louisa. That they had a child together and that she had killed herself. Together they fight there past and the present Slayers that are trying to kill all of the Pyr and reclaim the Dragon Teeth.

This book has great action, story, and fast pace. I loved the characters and how the story ends. Everything is so believable that I could not put the book down. This is one great book and I recommend it to anyone that likes the fantasy/paranormal romance stories.

    Wonderful read

I love this series. It is original and fresh. Nothing like it. Recommend all her books. Also Christine Feehan's Dark Series.

    Captivating, Romantic

This book is for people who share a love of mythology. It is without a doubt a very romantic and upbeat book. It shares the lives of the Pyr or dragon shape shifters. This is the kind of book you can read anytime or anyplace. Kiss of Fate draws the reader into an entirely different world where you believe that anything is possible. It makes you smile and cheer the Pyr on to victory. To get the full benefit of Kiss of Fate read Kiss of Fury and Kiss of Fire first. I am already anticipating the next book in the series.

    Series continue to deliver!

Kiss of Fate, Deborah Cooke's latest offering in the battle between the Pyr and the Slayers is a great read. Erik Sorensson, leader of the Pyr, is being offered a second chance at love. His wife has been reincarnated in Eileen Grosvenor. However, their dragonfire will not be easy. Both offer their own resistance to a match between them; while the Slayers will use separating them as a way to weaken the Pyr. At a time when Erik would like to follow his heart, the Pyr's need his leadership. Powerful relics have found their way into human hands, alliances are called into questions, and their enemies seemed to have gained an insurmountable advantage. This was a great read and a wonderful addition to the Dragonfire series.

It was ok, but not anything approaching great

I was attracted to this book because of its cover, but I didn't like much of the content. The plot was more convoluted than is to my tastes, and I didn't like the characterization. You really have to be into sci-fi/fantasy to get into this book; it goes beyond paranormal romance. Overall, I skipped a lot of it and didn't like much of what I read.

    A MUST READ!!

I just absolutely LOVE the Dragonfire novels! Their all one big story about the Dragons needing to find their mates and put the puzzle together about their past and know how to kill their foes. And each book gives you the same amount of action, passion and thrills.(You must read kiss of fire first and then kiss of fury and then kiss of fate!!)I'm so... happy that there will be more books, and so excited to find out that the new book will be out in November of 09(WINTERS KISS)!!!! I can't wait!! And very sad i have to wait so.. long to have it in my hands.

    fien paranormal romantic suspense

The war between the dragons, Pyr vs. Slayers remains heated as they disagree over the fate of humanity. The Pyr protects the humans while the Slayers want them dead. In that environs, Pyr leader Erik Sorensson prepares for battle. However, he learns of a relic owned by mythological expert Eileen Grosvenor that he believes his side must possess if it is to succeed.

When he meets Eileen he is stunned as he realizes she is the reincarnation of his wife, who committed suicide when their offspring Sigmund became a Slayer. Erik wants a second chance at the firestorm mating, but fears the outcome at a time he must focus on preventing the Slayers¿ latest deadly ploy. At the same time Eileen has dreamed of a were-dragon lover and now he stands in front of her.

The third Dragonfire paranormal romantic suspense (see KISS OF FURY and KISS OF FIRE) is a terrific thriller that enables the audience to believe in the urban fantasy world of Deborah Cooke. The story line is fast-paced and filled with plenty of action yet fans will believe in the firestorm destined soulmates romantic subplot especially critical to this entry. KISS OF FATE is a superb second chance at love romantic fantasy filled with delightful twists while starring two wonderful lead protagonists and a horde of nasty Slayers assigned to kill both of them.
