Ever since the Lox defected from P. Diddy's Bad Boy family in favor of DMX's grittier Ruff Ryders crew, they've established themselves as one of hip-hop's most abrasive groups. Picking up where the Yonkers trio's 2000 manifesto, We Are the Streets, left its trail of body bags, Lox frontman Jadakiss continues the carnage with his accomplished solo debut. Kiss Tha Game Goodbye is a full clip of prolific cameos, cinematic gangsta imagery on "I'm a Gangsta," Jadakiss violently boasts, "My bullets is bisexual cuz they hit niggas and bitches, and the trademark thumps of such grade-A producers as Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, the Neptunes, and DJ Premier -- key ingredients to dazzling even the most fickle hip-hop fans. Providing the disc's mellower moments, R&B heavyweight Carl Thomas and G-Funk crooner Nate Dogg add a touch of soul to Jada's fiery raps on "Nasty Girl" and "Kiss Is Spittin'," respectively. Meanwhile, guest turns by New York rap don Nas "Show Discipline", West Coast kingpin Snoop Dogg "Cruisin'", and the Dirty South's Eightball ensure that all corners of the hip-hop world are well represented. Of course, no Ruff Ryders release would be complete without a guest shot from DMX -- who appears on the Beanie Sigel dis "Un-Hunn!" -- and an obligatory posse cut "It's Time I See You," featuring Eve, Drag-On, and fellow Lox-smith Styles. With its engaging, albeit bullet-riddled, 20 tracks, fans will be left hoping that Jadakiss isn't seriously planning to Kiss Tha Game Goodbye anytime soon. Ron Hart
All Music Guide - Matt Conaway
In terms of sheer anticipation, Jadakiss' buzz was at an apex at the time of this album's release. While fellow LOX members Sheek and Styles flashed improved flows and lyrics on their group's sophomore strike, We Are the Streets, Jadakiss remained the group's undisputed frontman. And with the streets virtually foaming at the mouth, Jadakiss returned from the lab to birth his solo debut, Kiss tha Game Goodbye. There are some bangers here: the celebratory, Alchemist-produced "We Gonna Make It" (featuring Styles) bubbles; there's the DJ Premier-blessed "None of Y'all Betta," featuring Styles and Sheek; and the gully "Un-Hunh," featuring DMX. With self-explanatory titles like "Nasty Girl," featuring Carl Thomas; "I'm a Gangsta," featuring Parlé; and "Cruisin," featuring Snoop Dogg, it becomes abundantly clear that Jadakiss is trying hard to please everyone. The production is supplied by Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and a host of others.

    Top 10 Dead or Alive

Jadakiss has always been the strong point of The LOX. He has always been expected to drop an album, and now that he has, im not disapointed. His verses are always classics. The production is better than both of The LOX's albums. There is, unfortunly, a reason this is not a 5 star album. Jadakiss has a limited subject matter. Over 90% of this album is about drugs and guns. Now don't get me wrong, im not in anyway against violent subject matter but, it wears thin by mid album. This is a solid album and defintly puts Jadakiss's name in the rankings of the greats.

    the best ever

this album is without question one of the top 5 in the last 5 years. with amazing lyrics, a flo that never stops, and bust ure s**t open beats, nearly every track is definitely gonna leave u stunned. while it may not grab everybody at first, after hearing it a few more times u can understand the skill it takes to write lyrics and flo like he can. with lines like ''My bullets is like chickenpox, everybody get em'' you wont wanna turn your system off. id highly suggest buying this album; ill never get tired of it.

    JADA IS HARD!

I have to say that I am not a huge fan of east coast rap, but I was very suprised at Jadakiss. This is one of the best albums I heard this year east coast or any coast for that matter. Jadakiss has just gained a new fan, I'm about to go out and get his new album soon. He has made a few songs that I like with the Lox but by himself he is really blowing up. I think it's a great thing because some artist never get to break away from their group and make a solo album. Usally when they do get the chance to make their own solo album it is horrible. I just have to say Kiss Tha Game Goodbye is a hot album and if you do not already have it go and get it. Also to all the dirty South West coast listeners out there like mysele that do not give the east coast a chance, your missing out on Jada's new album.

    Jada-Muah, Game Over

The Game is over. Jadakiss has finally dropped his solo gem and after all the hype, expectations and wait theres nothing left to say. The album is off the chainz. Jada delivers classic tracks on KISS THE GAME GOODBYE including the Alchemist created ''We Gone Make It'' where Jada swears youll have to use ''the scales you way the whales with'' to measure his hits. The album also has other blazers like ''Jadas Got a Gun'', ''Cruisin'' with Snoop Dogg, and ''Put Your Hand Up''. There are alot of club hits too such as the current single ''Knock Yourself Out'' but jada also manages to keep it street with songs like ''Uh Huh'' with DMX where he lyrically assaults Rocafellas Beanie SIgel. If you don't have this joint then you need to cop it quick. Its definitely the hottest rap album to drop in a minute.
