Kiss the Witch kicks things up a notch for Donovan's series. As usual, the crime mystery is well conceived and executed, but it's the continuing back story that keeps this reader coming back for more. In this sixth installment of the Witch's series, the Tony Marcella character shows his vulnerable side in dealing with complications of a personal nature. It's elements like this that keeps me invested in all the characters. They seem so real to me. I will warn you though, some scenes in this book are a bit more erotic than what we've seen in Donovan's previous books. Although done tastefully, some readers of traditional detective mysteries may find the contents a bit risqué. For me, I like that, and I love this latest edition of Donovan's Witch's Series.

The characters and storyline are original and easy to read and follow. I just want to see Detective Marcella really use his new found powers more. Can't wait until the next book.

I hate to use a cliche, but I really couldn't put it down. Get it, but get books 1-5 first!

Ive read all seven books but for some reason my review wouldnt post on the seventh book. Huh. Ive read all seven and really enjoyed them all. Reading is my drug of choice, so I devoured them in a week. Do not pay attention to all the typos and wrong words, because there are many. The plots and characters make up for them. Dana Donovan is going places. Ive read his other books also, but I liked this series best. My question...when will number eight be released? :) DM

I have become a loyal fan of the Tony Marcella mysteries. Donovan mixes detective investigations with personal life with Lilith the Witch. Its serious and humorous all bundled up just right. Great reads,,,,not boring. The first book is intense and once you get past it the others just grow onto you.

I love this series. I find the mix of mystery & witchcraft very interesting & fun. However, in this story I feel that the mystery portion was never fully resolved. I would have liked a better wrap up of who Ferguson was involved with.... or did I overlook something?
