Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
All Aboard, Babies! A crop of board books appeals to brand new book lovers. Two titles with photographs by Elizabeth Hathon, Kisses for Mommy! and Giggles for Daddy!, put the focus on the family. Both pair rhyming text (Kisses for Mommy When you wake. Kisses for Mommy are sweet as cake) and full-color photographs of parents and babies from mealtime to bathtime to bedtime. (Apr.) The photographs show beautiful mothers and beautiful babies. Who wouldn't want to smooch? My favorite is the little tike with bib and what looks like carrots all over his face. Mom is giving him a kiss on his check while he smiles. Grandmas also rate kisses; after all, they are mommies too. Babies and mommies will love looking at the photos of other babies and mommies, and reading along with the simple text. The title really should be Kisses for Baby because it is, for the most part, Moms' giving their babies kisses. 2001, Grosset & Dunlap/Penguin Putnam,
