She once led him around by a string. Now he's the one holding the reins.

Rough Riders, Book 13

Georgia Hotchkiss swore wild horses couldn’t drag her back to Sundance, Wyoming. So it’s ironic she’s forced to take a rodeo PR job in her former hometown—right before her ten-year class reunion. The only thing worse than facing her cheating ex-husband and his pregnant wife? Showing up to the reunion without a date. Fate smiles on her when she runs into her former classmate and current cowboy hottie Tell McKay. With his infectious smile and fun-loving ways—not to mention his banging body—he’s the perfect solution to her problem.

Tell McKay had it so bad for Hot Lips Hotchkiss during high school that he let her run roughshod over him. But he is no longer that easily manipulated boy—these days he’s earned a reputation with the ladies that lives up to the McKay last name. He agrees to escort her to the reunion with one stipulation; that Georgia proves she has left behind the goody-goody cheerleader of the past—by sharing his bed.

Their sexual chemistry flashes so bright, they barely notice that the reunion has come and gone, and now they’re tangled up in another dreaded “R” word—relationship. But if Tell wants to get the girl this go-around, he’ll have to come up with a whole new set of knots to tie up her heartstrings.

Warning: Contains a sweet talkin’ wild cowboy with a wagon load of crazy-hot sex fantasies and the mad bedroom skills to back up his claims.

One very smexy and fun cowboy! I've been looking forward to this release. But then again, I guess that's not much of a surprise since I look forward to all of Lorelei's books. Tell was the most laid back of all the McKay men so far. This was a little surprising after Cowboy Casanova which starred Ben McKay. But that's not to say his story is bad...cuz it's not. It's far from that. Tell is fun-loving and entertaining. But beneath all that fun is a not-so-great past. I felt like this was the first time we actually got to see that side of the McKay clan. Brandt and Jessie's book was a glimpse, but with Tell there are more details. Georgia is a brand new character. She's come back home and she has a past as well. These two don't really trust anyone but each other. Going through their journey with them is somewhat of a roller coaster. Georgia was a good match for Tell. I wouldn't say she's a strong female like some of the other McKay women, but she holds her own. Especially once she figures out what it is she wants out of life. We get cameos from several other McKays in this book. It was great getting updates from everyone. There are still babies popping up everywhere. I predict that by the end of this series Keeley is pregnant and depending on time frame she'll have a McKay offspring of her own. Dalton's book is going to be an emotional one---at least that's my prediction. One last before I go...there may not be a lot of books left, but I'm fairly certain there are still some big things coming down with the McKay family that we'll learn. This is a great chapter in the Rough Riders series. You must go buy it!

This was one HOT, Steamy, Sexy, Western Romance Book...that I had a hard time putting down. I found myself fanning myself several times during parts of the book that was really EROTIC. OMG! Lorelei James is one author who can make a "Book Mama" smile, giggle, and squirm. Here's a tip for ALL the men out on a trampoline will do things to your body parts that will hurt. =) Oh...and now I'm craving ice cream thanks to this darn book. Georgia Hotchkiss (aka...Hot Lips to the guys back in high school) is one female character who has gone through hell. Here's some obstacles in her life she's having to deal with: her ex-husband is a douche, her Dad is naive when it comes to Georgia's ex-husband, and her Mom...well...there's something going on with her that's she's not sure about. Then there's the fact she lost her twin-brother after they graduated high school. She never expected the hottie who sat behind her in History class would come back in her life and change her world. Tell McKay, he's known to be a ladies man after graduating high school. He's following in the McKay guy tradition in the family. He's not ready to settle down at all. He has his own issues he's dealing with: his Mom thinks he has no life, his brothers like to use him, and his Dad is a jerk from hell. He never thought the girl of his fantasies from high school who he sat behind in history class would come back into Sundance, Wyoming. Georgia "Hot Lips" was his teen fantasy. He always loved her, but could never be near her because of her a-hole boyfriend, Deck (who ended up being her ex-husband). Now is Tell's chance to finally get his chance with Hot Lips due to the high school reunion coming up. Georgia needs a date and Tell wants to show everyone, especially Deck that people can change. My thoughts on "Kissin' Tell" is that I enjoyed every minute of it. Like I stated above, I had a hard time putting it down. I loved Tell and his dom ways. He took control in the bedroom. The things he did...Wow!! I loved Georgia and how willing she was to do anything with and for Tell. She was kind of a wild woman. Tell had to actually tame her, which I thought was funny. I loved the storyline of "Kissin' Tell". I actually cried in certain parts of the book because I felt the emotion of the characters. Both Tell and Georgia had a life changing event happen to them and they both were able to be there for each other and help cope with their losses. I love Lorelei Jame's writing style and I definitely loved how she wrote the steamy scenes between the characters. I've never read a book that involved ice cream in a scene and a trampoline in a different scene. Yes...I typed, trampoline. I still can't stop thinking about both of those sex scenes...and those were just two. There are plenty more between Tell and Georgia that will have you curling your toes with excitement. I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading western romance, erotica, and of course those ladies who love cowboys. This book definitely will make you want to "ride a cowboy instead of a horse". =) Be prepared for some mind-blowing sex scenes that will probably have you fantasizing your own sexual fantasies after you read this book. =)

Smokin’ hot & completely irresistible... This not only describes Tell McKay, but also this newest addition to the Rough Riders series! Lorelei James continues to deliver the sexiest & best panty-melting cowboys EVER, after 13 books, this series just keeps getting better & better :) Hard to believe, but in high school, Tell was the geeky scrawny kid who crushed on Georgia, the head cheerleader. Now 10 years later - he’s known as a ladies man and fully lives up to the male McKay family tradition ;) However, there is a deeper side to him. Growing up as one of Casper’s sons was not easy and has given him a need to always feel like he has to prove himself. He never had the loving parents that the other McKay’s grew up with and he, as well as, his brothers feel like the outcasts of the family - never taken seriously. He wants to be seen as a man and no longer feel like just the jokester of the family. Georgia Hotchkiss has just been transferred back to the one place, she swore never to come back to - Sundance, Wyoming. After marrying her high school sweetheart, she suffers the devastating loss of her twin brother, RJ. She disconnects from everyone in her grief and then divorces her husband after she catches him cheating. For seven years, she is adrift and never allows herself to get close to anyone. After moving back she realizes the mistakes she has made & what she has to do to overcome them and stay true to herself. Tell & Georgia are the perfect complement to each other. Even though they start out as just fun, they quickly realize that are so much more - even if they don’t want to admit it. Their love story is sweet and has a chemistry that ignites off the pages. Tell’s sweetness & dominance mixed with Georgia’s willingness and steel backbone make this one of my favorite Rough Riders stories.

I love this series, but these characters lack depth. Georgia is just kind of uninteresting. The emotions don't ring deep and true the way LJ usually can write them. This is one of her "lesser" novels in my opinion. A little like Dirty Deeds which really just seemed like character sketches she would eventually develop elsewhere. The trampoline scene is not even sexy in my opinion. The best in this series are chasin eight, all jacked up, and cowgirl up and ride. Also good is the one with two men, Edgard and Trevor, althoughthe end of that one seems a little rushed. All those are worth multiple reads, but this one isnt. LJ needs to do one on Joely Monroe....we are waiting!

This book really made you nastalgic for that one person in high school that got away.. or the one you over looked and wish you hadn't. Great story over all.. with real characters. LJ has a way of pulling you into a story. She writes stories with depth.. wonderful author. Recommend this series to anyone who like a story with emotion.. grit.. sex.. and characters you can't help but love. Makes me want my own cowboy!

I know there will be lots of reviews for this story by more professional reviews so I'd like to share what I really loved about this story. Both Tell and Georgia are dealing with baggage from both family stuff and their perception of how they are seen by others. They really have to work to overcome the crap and find out what's worth fighting for. Personal special book moment - when Tell's the one with all the ice cream in his freezer and that 2 of the 4 kinds he has are two of my favorites.

I just re-read this book for the 3rd time and had forgotten how much I loved Tell. Despite his family life growing up and losing a close family member, he is happy, loving and thoughful. Georgia is proof that what we are seen as in high school isn't always the whole picture and people can change as we grow.

I absolutely LOVE and trust everything Lorelei puts out. Her writing styles from her western/cowboy to her fighter/mma is remarkably different. However, amazing at the same time. It takes a brilliant writer to be so diverse in her styles.

Love the McKay family. This was a longer book and I really got to enjoy the whole story of Tell and Georgia. I admit I had my thoughts in the beginning and thought I had the book mapped out and I'm glad it didn't turn out the way I thought. No major twist that had me gripping but a GREAT story nonetheless.  Yes this is an erotica book and those parts are steamy, sexy and sweet. They do add to the story but these books are so much more than that. I felt myself seeing myself in both Tell and Georgia. Good qualities and bad. I've learned a lot about myself and inspired myself to be better because of them. I've cried with them through sympathy and cried tears of joy.  If you're looking for pure erotica with just sex - this definitely aint for you - but if you're looking for a great book - great story this is definitely for you

Tell McKay, the most "less" McKay of the bunch trying to step out of the shadow of his family makes some big life decisions on his teens after being used multiple times by his crush Georgia "Hot Lips" Hotchkiss. When years later she comes into his life again will he be able to stick to does decisions or is he and will he always be unable to say no to the love of his life? Georgia just wants to get her job done and get out of Sundance, Wyoming as soon as the rodeo season is over. But before she goes she wants to show her ex that she has a new better life without him. To do this she employs the help of Tell and in the interim between the class reunion and her leaving she has to make the difficult choice of going back to her boring old life or stay in Wyoming with Tell and build a new one with friend and fun in her life. It is an explosive summer in which Tell and Georgia shows us that love when is pure and true can transcend live experiences and withstand the passing of time to give us time to mature. I love this story because it kind of reminds me of my own life (although without the hunk waiting for me back home ^_^). I really like Mrs. James' stories and I can wait for the next one that I'm hoping is Dalton's.

A Prom Queen returns home, a Cowboy who never overcame his infatuation, and the heartache and tragedy endured over 10 years since their last encounter all combine to make Kissin` Tell another emotional, gripping and sexy read in the Rough Riders series. While I love that Ms James provides readers with super HOT Cowboys with drop-dead gorgeous looks, plenty of muscle and enough charm to ensure their beds are never empty; I think what I’ve enjoyed most about this series is the depth of character displayed by the huge cast and the real life situations that aren’t always sunshine and roses. I’m on the backend of this wonderful series and will surely be sad when it ends; but I’m also certain I will revisit Sundance, Wyoming and the amazing people who live and love with their heart and soul.

This story starts with Georgia Hotchkiss having to return to Sundance, Wyoming to work for the summer on her boss' orders. She grew up there and really didn't want to go back for many reasons. One of the reasons was that when she was in high school she wasn't well liked by the other girls because they thought she was stuck up when really she was shy. She had many family related reasons for not wanting to go back too, such as her ex-husband lived in Sundance with his new wife as well as Georgia's parents had divorced but her father lived there and she didn't want to see him. One of the first people she ran into when she got back into town was Tell McKay who she took advantage of in high school and he had a crush on her the entire time. Ten years later, they have both changed in many ways. Tell is no longer the dorky guy but a gorgeous stud who goes to bed with every woman he sees and Georgia is not the beautiful, timid cheerleader  but a confident, successful business woman. Georgia makes a deal with Tell to be her date for the up coming high school reunion. He agrees to be her date if she has a full relationship with him including sex. She agrees and things heat up with them pretty fast. They have a lot in common and are surprised that they like spending time together. The relationship Tell and Georgia had happened pretty quickly but was written so well that it was easily believable. I liked the way the author took us back to this pair in high school and then showed us what they are like as adults. The characters were very well developed and I really liked Tell. You had to feel sorry for him when he was an awkward, geeky teenager and even later when you find out the reasons for his love 'em and leave 'em lifestyle. This was a good story but there was way too much sex in it for me. Without all the sex scenes this would have been a very quick read. This is my first book by Ms. James and I will not be hurrying out to get another one. If you like reading about couples having a lot of sex with a little BDSM, then you will like this one.

Lorelei James is a very consistent writer. Her books are entertaining and well written. You always get more than you expect with her books. If you haven't read anything by this author you really should! She is by far one of the best out there.
