I think we all can imagine what it's like to be knee deep in the depths of internet dating...and Sweeney validates our skepticism - it IS really like that at times! She did not edit any of the correspondence between her and her potential "princes" - so what the readers get is raw interpersonal skills at their best!
This book is witty, anecdotal, told in short sketches that make this book very user friendly (pick it up on your lunch hours!). This book is definitely going to be picked up for the Big Screen!
This is bona fide 21st century dating! Dianne is strong, worthy of our applaud (for what she's had to deal with!), and I cannot help but to root for her all the while as I am (literally) laughing at loud!

I found myself nodding my head as I, too, recalled my own online dating experiences. Dianne's book is playful and dreadfully honest and helps us to realize that we aren't alone in this great big (often crazy) world of cyber dating. If you are looking for online dating advice, try another place but, if you are looking for some levity during your quest for Mr./Mrs. Right or just want a great book to cuddle up with, Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace is the book for you.

This was just sent to me from a friend who knows the author. I thought, why is she sending me a book about dating. I am married. WHO CARES...This book was fantastic. Didn't matter that I was married or not. It is heart-warming, touching, and sweet. This is for married women, single women and anyone in between...by the way, I just finished it and as I am writing this review, my husband is reading it with a smile on his face. Dianne, please tell me you are working on the sequel like you alluded, too. You have a fan for life.

I just got this book in the mail today. It is funny. I laughed out loud. I sat down for a few moments to start it, and an hour and a half later, I was finishing it up. I didn't even real time had flown by. A must read.

It's a great exemplar for how to seamlessly blend wit, truth, charm, and pathos. She uproariously skewers her online suitors without resorting to blind bashing. Instead, she takes the risky move of considering what she can learn from these men. This transition doesn't damper the breezy style, however -- Sweeney makes even her most vulnerable moments graceful. May all the English papers she grades be this enjoyable.

This book just came in the mail today, and I tossed it aside and went about my business. When I finished a couple of xmas tasks, I picked it up and thought, "let me thumb through it..." 3 hours later, I was still reading it. This was so funny. I quickly went on here and ordered 3 more for my girlfriends. So hysterical. Share with all your friends. This is the gift they need. If you missed them at xmas, sent it to them in January, February, March, April, May....and all the rest of the months.

Dianne Sweeney takes the reader on her dates, good and bad, that she meets through online dating sites. She is the opposite of the writer who condescends to her audience: Because Sweeney has lived the experiences she empathizes with all of us single folks searching for that magical encounter. Her writing is unhurried and illuminating, and I wish I had had this book years ago when I first started dating. A great read!

Dianne Sweeney's journey to find love in cyberspace if absolutely funny and touching. She tells the story that many people can relate to in this new cyber world we live in. This book is perfect for anyone who is currently dating or for anyone who has ever dated. If you have friends that are thinking about getting divorced, please turn them on to this book. After reading it they may just realize that they are better off where they are!

I don't want to sound like a broken record but if this book doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will. Good job. Buy two...one for you and one for a friend.
