Description of the KJV

The King James Version of the Bible, also known as the Authorized Version, the King James Bible, and the KJV, is an English translation of the Bible. It was completed in 1611 and updated in 1769. It continues to be widely used today.

Description of Strong's Classic Work

Strong's concise dictionary of Biblical Greek and Hebrew (including Aramaic as well), like his concordance, is a classic reference work for biblical studies in the English-speaking world and is accessible to the layperson. Each word in Biblical Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic is numbered, presented in Greek/Hebrew script and in transliteration and is accompanied by a pronunciation guide. Each word is defined in English, and the translation(s) of that word in the Authorized English Version are presented. Strong's work was originally published in 1890 under the titles A Concise Dictionary of the Words in the Hebrew Bible; with their Renderings in the Authorized English Version and A Concise Dictionary of the Words in the Greek New Testament; with their Renderings in the Authorized English Version. They were bound together with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.

Linking the KJV and Strong's Dictionary

This work provides links from the KJV text to the Greek and Hebrew entries in Strong's Dictionary.

Beautiful Greek, Hebrew in This E-Book

This digital edition of Strong's classic work is distinctive in not only presenting the Greek and Hebrew/Aramaic in their respective scripts but doing so using in an aesthetically pleasing manner that looks great on the Nook. All Greek and Hebrew is accompanied by beautiful transliteration; you do not need to know Greek or Hebrew to make use of this e-book. On some Nook models, checking the text option "Publisher Defaults" ensures that all characters display properly.

Superior Navigation Features in This E-Book

This digital edition of KJV (King James Version) Bible with Strong's Markup and Dictionary recognizes that you do not generally read Bibles and dictionaries linearly. As a result, it makes use of all of the navigational capabilities on the various Nook devices, including the use of a two-tiered table of contents, allowing for rapid navigation to a particular book and chapter of the Bible or to an entry in Strong's Dictionary of the Bible by its first two letters.

You can navigate directly to a particular verse by searching for that verse using an abbreviated form of the book name and using spaces to separate the book name, chapter, and verse. For example, to navigate to Genesis 12:3, type "ge 12 3" in the Find box. Similarly, you can navigate directly to a particular entry in the dictionary by searching for that entry by Strong's number with "g" for "Greek" or "h" for Hebrew prepended to it. For example, to navigate to the entry for Strong's Greek #1234, simply type "g1234" in the Find box. Finally, you can navigate directly to a particular entry in the dictionary by searching for that entry in translation with "g " prepended to it for Greek words and "h " prepended to it for Hebrew/Aramaic words. More details can be found in the preface.

Note on Version

Miklal Software Solutions KJV Bible with Strong’s markup is another fine Bible study tool for your nook. Every word has the Strong’s number after it so you can easily navigate to any word in the Hebrew or Greek dictionaries. The numbers are smaller and offset from the regular text, so they are not too distracting for regular reading. Navigation is easy and intuitive, making it easy to find any word you need. For example, I searched for the Greek word ‘logos’. I tried this several ways. The first method I used was to select the word on the screen in the Bible text. I opened the Table of Contents and selected New Testament. Then I selected 1 John. From there, I moved the cursor down to the word ‘Word’ and hit the enter key. This took me to the entry for logos. Another method is to search for Strong’s number (in this case 3051 in the Greek dictionary). To search for something in the Greek dictionary, type a ‘g’ (and ‘h’ for Hebrew) and then the Strong’s number. Select ‘Find’ and enter the Strong’s number g3051. This took me to entry 3051 in the Greek dictionary. This is a very powerful study Bible. With its ease of use, easy readability, and Strong’s numbers and dictionaries, Miklal Software Solutions KJV Strong’s Bible is a must-own study Bible for nook. Miklal Software Solutions provided this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review- only an honest review.

9/9/2011. I bought this for my project, which is to use several things in my NOOK Color for easy access during a Church worship service: A Bible, Service for the Lord's Day format, a Lectionary (.pdf), Hymns for the day, and Sermon notes (.pdf). It all works fine !!!

Generally, the app works. However, when researching a word's strong number and subsequent numbers, it is not possible to return to the basic Scripture text without returning to Index and starting over again. Makes use very labor intensive and frustrating.

I bought a Nook so I could use this KJV Bible + Strong's Concordance - BUT, I cannot get the software to go back / return from the Greek or Hebrew Concordance to the Bible page that I linked over from when I hit a link from Bible word to concordance. Anyone know how to do this or do I need to buy a Kobo reader to use this software?

I am sad to say that i have removed this bible from my device. It is a wonderful idea and would be a useful tool for those who love to study the bible, but there are too many issues. The program freezes everytime i try to navigate any way other than flipping page to page. And even that freezes up at time. Also when trying to cross reference a word or phrase in the dictionary the program just closes itself. I hope that the proceeds from my purchase will help with future upgrades and bug fixes

The file is apparently too large and complex and it freezes my Nook Color. I can't use it at all.

Helps me dig deeper in His word and get a better understanding of the text

I expected better quality, ESPECIALLY from B&N! A full 20-30% of the links go to the wrong word. You can look up the words manually, but that defeats the purpose of the links. Also a pain in the *ss. I wish the publisher of this title cared enough to do the work right. Unfortunately it seems he was in it for a quick buck before moving on to another project.

A great deal of good information is accessible in one work. The volume is somewhat difficult to maneuver.
