DEBBIE MACOMBER HAS WRITTEN A SERIES OF FICTION KNITTING BOOKS THAT ARE FANTASTIC. IT STARTS OUT WITH A WOMAN WHO IS A CANCER SURVIVOR AND DECIDES TO OPEN A KNITTING SHOP ON BLOSSOM STREET. SHE HAS SURVIVED CANCER AND NOW THIS SHOP IS GOING TO BE HER NEXT BIG HURDLE. SHE LOVES KNITTING AND THIS NEW LITTLE SHOP OF HERS REPRESENTS SO MUCH FOR HER. HER HEALTH, HER LIVELYHOOD AND MAKING THIS BUSINESS WORK. SHE DECIDES TO START KNITTING CLASSES AND SOON MEETS SOME VERY INTERESTING WOMEN WITH VERY DIFFERENT LIVES, PROBLEMS AND PERSONALTIES. AT FIRST SHE IS NOT SURE IT IS GOING TO WORK, BUT SOON THESE WOMEN LEARN TO TALK ABOUT THEIR LIVES AND THEIR PROBLEMS WITH EACH OTHER AND ACTUALLY BECOME VERY GOOD FRIENDS. IT'S THE KIND OF HEARTWARMING BOOK THAT YOU JUST DON'T WANT TO PUT DOWN UNTIL YOU'VE FINISHED!! THE FIRST BOOK IS THE SHOP ON BLOSSOM STREET AND IS FOLLOWED BY FIVE MORE BOOKS IN THE SERIES. YOU'LL GET TO KNOW OTHER INTERESTING WOMEN IN THE SERIES, TOO. ALSO, IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNIT, IT JUST MIGHT GET YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW. HAVING SAID ALL THAT, MS. MACOMBER HAS SEVERAL OF THESE "KNITTING ALONG WITH DEBBIE MACOMBER" BOOKS TO MATCH HER BLOSSOM STREET SERIES. SHE SHARES SOME REALLY NICE KNITTING PATTERNS. AMY O. IN ALABAMA
I loved the easy to read/easy to follow instructions. And the descriptions of the different stitches makes it so easy to follow. I love her knitting books!
I have enjoyed both reading and using this book. I would recommend it to anyone.
