Editorial Reviews

Library Journal

Koigu is a beautiful, hand-painted Merino wool available in a gorgeous mix of colors. No two Koigu dye lots are the same, and a single skein of yarn may contain a dozen different colors. This subtly variegated yarn lends itself to modular knitting, in which small geometric shapes are joined to create a colorful whole. Landra's special book of 25 patterns for Koigu's Painter's Palette yarn-with its mix of shawl, sweater, scarf, vest, skirt, and jacket designs-will appeal to the accomplished knitter ready for the challenge of modular knitting and willing to spend a little more for these gorgeous yarns. Those familiar with this yarn will enjoy the background information on the Landras, founders of Koigu Wool Designs, as well as the illustrated tutorial on modular knitting. For large public libraries and strong knitting collections.

    Book Returned

I returned this book, even though it's a beautiful book, some of these patterns would be just too tedious for me to do. I would probably attempt the scarf, but the coat would be just too much as some of the other items. It would be okay if you could just knit all day, but realistically with a full time job, no. Too much money to just sit on the shelf.
