Meet the Author

Judy Sumner, a lifelong knitter, has been designing socks for over a decade. Her designs have been published by a myriad of magazines, including Interweave Knits and Knitter’s, and by yarn companies. She teaches sock design and sock knitting in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she lives.

    Beautiful!! Absolutely beautiful <3

    This was my Christmas present to myself and I can hardly wait to start working on these beautiful patterns. The textures are wonderful and the author took the time to explain her inspiration. I love this book and the minute I finish the current project on my needles I will be making one of the lovely socks from this book :D If you are a knitter that LOVES texture and pattern, you NEED this book!

    Beautifully designed socks

    I have a bunch of knitting reference books so I was surprised to learn that there are knitting stitches out there that I didn't know yet. And it's amazing what those stitches can create. I cannot wait to knit up a pair of these socks. I love wearing flip-flops so I will definitely be making a pair of the tabi socks. The socks in this book are gorgeous, the photos amazing!

    Unique sock book

    If you want a sock book to break the same old same old of sock knitting, this is it. I love unique but useful knitting. If you are a fan of funky knee highs, this is the book for you. Perhaps the tabi socks will appeal to you, even as a new type of sock to try. Either way, this is a beautiful book that I think many sock knitters will love. I know I do.

    ...sock books ever!!!! I love this book. I've already made three of the patterns and will continue to make more. I haven't found any mistakes in the patterns. Any knitter of socks would appreciate this book ad a gift. It should be in every sock knitter's library. Did I mention I love this book?
