From the Publisher
"Those who don't have pets might want to try knitting their own. Knitted Wild Animals, Sarah Keen's imaginative and charming knitting guide, shows how to create a menagerie of irresistable, cuddly creatures—lion, koala, giraffe, zebra, wart hog. This is something for those who have not only January hours to spare, but a demonstrated nimbleness of fingers." —New York Times

I was so sick of knitting scarves and sweaters for people who didn't appreciate the time and effort that goes into making each piece. Then I found Sarah Keen's Knitted Wild Animals and immediately spent hours with my grandsons going over what animal they would like grandma to knit next. This is easy knitting at its best, thank you Ms. Keen for sparking my interest again, and making two little boys very happy with their new stuffed animals! It is our plan to complete every animal in the book. What can we next expect from you?

I was browsing the knitting books online, and I found this book. It was really an impulse buy to help me get free shipping, but as soon as I recieved it in the mail I realized it was a great decision buying it. The whole first half of the book is pictures of all the animals in different poses by themselves and the others, super cute. Also, the patterns are easy to read and each animal has a few different facts about that animal in real life on it's pattern page. I loved this book, and I recommend it for both new knitters and experienced knitters.

I purchased this book and plan to make animal gifts! Lovely designs and easy to read

The patterns in this book exceeded my expectations. They are so clever and adorable. The directions are clear, but you do need to follow closely. Because the animals and their parts are not large, there are frequent increases, decreases, and, in some, color changes. The animals require sewing and embroidery, but the results are well worth the effort. Now I need to find recipients for all the animals I want to "create!"

I love this book! The pictures are hilarious, especially the tiger in different poses reflecting his mood. I made the tiger out of inexpensive yarn and gave it as a baby shower gift. It was very hard to part with it.

Haven't made anything yet, but the patterns seem straightforward and interesting. I love the colorful pictures, and I cannot wait to get started on making a few of these animals for my newest grandson.

I have made several of these and adults and children love them. The monkey with banana gift was for a three year old girl who amongst all the toys and party, dropped them and went to her bedroom to play. All the adults went oh, who made it, do people still do that. The roly poly tiger and others I made were also hits. I lost my copy of the book so I had to buy a second. I want to do more.
