This book would be okay for the folks that can memorize six pages of graph Chart Symbols. But for me, I would have to translate the symbols into instuctions for each pattern. Which would mean flipping through the book and referencing the back through the six pages of symbols to find each stitch combination. In the back there is an indexing of abbreviations used, which would also need to be referenced. This book was put together the quickest and easiest way to get it to the publishers in a hurry. I have an OLD knitters book which shows hundreds of patterens with instructions right beneath the pattern. I will continue using my old book from the 70's.
This book is amazing. I have been searching for a book like this for years. I have a stack of so-so books that have a varity of stitches in them, but none as great as this. It has easy to read charts and a wonderful intro. Buy this book, you will be glad you did.
