    Simply the best there is!

Since I've been reading Martin Yate's Knock 'em Dead series, I've quoted him numerous times in my workshops. His insightful career search advice provides for valuable fodder in almost all my workshops. Knock 'em Dead - Secrets and Strategies for Success in an Uncertain World is yet another masterpiece of Martin's that gives me inspiration when I teach job search techniques.

Knock 'em Dead approaches the job search and career sustainability from all angles, including writing one's résumé using the Target Job Deconstruction, to gaining the attention of employers, to understanding the hiring process, and to succeeding at the interview. If you don't believe Martin on all of this, read the advice of other career mentors. (A nice touch.)

Buy this book for your job search and use it to spread the words of wisdom to other jobseekers. I trust Martin, and so should you. Bravo!a

If you buy only one book to guide your career, this should be it

Here's your lifeboat in the sea of pernicious folklore about how to manage your career. Martin replaces all that mysterious "folklore" with a common sense method that transforms the nearly 40,000 hours the typical American spends on the job into the career that's right for you--as you define "right." Hold on to this book! Once your worklife starts turning around, don't give into the temptation to lay it aside. This is a guide that will deliver value as long as you're on the job

    Get it now!

What a delight it was to read this book! The author and his panel of experts are definitly no nincompoops! They have been around the block - and then some Their brainstorming sessions obviously lasted months and the results are phenomenal. Martin puts every sentence in plain English - no upper class funny stuff. It felt like he was sitting next to me and that we had a conversation. As soon as a question came to mind he answered it almost at once or a couple of sentenses later. This book is applicable to every thinkable job out there and to every man and woman. It does not matter whether you are a janitor or VP of a company. This book will be very helpful to you. The information is very fresh and applicable to the current financial challenges we face each day. What a great investment I made!
