Discover Paris through 8 districts and 6 maps
Latin Quarter/ The islands/ Montparnasse
Orsay/ Louvre/ Opera
Les Halles/ Le Marais
Invalides/ Champ-de-Mars/ Trocadero
Grands Boulevards/ Montmarte
Bastille/ Faubourg Saint-Antoine/ Oberkampf
Menilmontant/ Belleville/ La Villette
Place d'Italie/ Bibliotheque Nationale/ Bercy
For each district there is a double-page of addresses (restaurants -- listed in ascending order of price -- cafés, bars, music venues and stores) followed by a fold-out map for the relevant area with the essential places to see (indicated on the map by a star *). These places are by no means all that Paris has to offer but to us they are unmissable. The grid-referencing system (A B2) makes it easy for you to pinpoint addresses quickly on the map.
Transportation and hotels in Paris
The last fold-out consists of a transportation map and 4 pages of practical information that include a selection of hotels.
A thematic index lists all the sites and addresses featured in this guide.

This is one of the most well-designed guidebooks I've ever used. It has about half a dozen maps of the most popular neighborhoods in Paris. Each map opens with just two folds so you only need to look at the one you're interested in. The Metro stops and sights are all well-marked. It also gives the addresses of restaurants and museums in the neighborhood, along with the map coordinates. My friend and I went to Paris this spring, and we consulted this book literally on every corner. I loaned it to two other friends, who said they couldn't have gotten around without it. It only has the bare essentials in terms of information, so you still need other guides for trip planning. But when you're walking around the city, I definitely recommend having a copy of this book in your knapsack. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This is the best designed map I have ever seen. With this map you can keep some dignity while walking around Paris. No more fighting with misbehaving maps that could confuse Einstein. And the Metro map is also the best I have seen. Everything is clear and the high points in the area are shown. The sections are nicely organized and the pages fold out so as not to be too big to stick out like a pink elephant but just big enough to see and still look like you know where you are going. Now to throw a hint to any of the creators that might be looking at this site. Could you please make a map like this that focuses one the Metro. Like what you can find at the stops also with the fold outs. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
